Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

With Christmas songs and favourites from the 1940s and 1950s singer Lula May entertained our residents to bring the true spirit of Christmas flooding back. Thank you and Merry Christmas Lula-May, you had us all singing and remembering the good old days.
Alpaca's bring Christmas Cheer
What a fantastic day! Our residents were visited by a pair of cute Peruvian Alpacas; they wondered through the home meeting residents in their rooms and communal areas to spread Christmas cheer.
Alpaca therapy has been shown to lower blood pressure as well as reducing stress for some people who find it difficult or are unable to communicate with other people; particularly those living with Dementia.
Gifted Christmas Cake
We had a surprise visit from Northampton High School GDST today with a delivery of a handmade Christmas cake courtesy of their amazing students.
Our residents thank you for your thoughtful gift and look forward to enjoying a slice on Christmas day!
