Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home

Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.

Activities Coordinator

Martin Tilly-Reed

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park

My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.

Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.

I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.

We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here  to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Welcoming some friendly alpacas

We were delighted to welcome four alpacas from East Way Farm when they visited  us at Collingtree Park. We met four members of the same family - Malibu, Coco, Aurora and Anaire who were calm, friendly, soft and so cute. We stroked them and gave them some treats provided by their handlers. The staff from the farm set up a pen in our garden with shade and water to keep them comfortable on this lovely hot day. We were all talking about it for days and can't wait for them to come back again.

Weekly visit from Mike of G-Fitness

We all look forward to the weekly visit by Mike to Collingtree Park. He goes through some group and individual exercises to help us focus on our movement and flexibility. We all feel better afterwards.

Pamela checks the garden

Resident Ambassador, Pamela, has been on an inspection walk with Activities Coordinator, Stacey. They checked everything was looking good in the garden, especially the new planters.
