Activities at Collingtree Park Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as they can, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join in with activities and events as often as they can.
Martin Tilly-Reed
Hello, my name is Martin, I'm the activities coordinator here at Collingtree Park
My role is to ensure that our activities, outings and the entertainment we provide is stimulating and inclusive of all our residents no matter their challenges. It is important to me that our weekly calendar offers enriching experiences with music from live entertainers, visits to various locations outside the home, as well as arts and crafts tailored to individual abilities.
Getting to know our residents better is so important, and through regular family and friends’ meetings we can gain a greater understanding of their loved ones' interests and life prior to joining Collingtree Park that will make for a richer activities program to be developed.
I look forward to getting to know you, and your loved ones.
We are always open to new ideas. If you would like to get involved in any of our Life Enrichment activities or have a skill, or project you'd like to share with our residents, please click here to contact the activities team direct. New entertainers and community links are always welcome.

Life at Collingtree Park Care Home
Memory Walk
This year’s Memory Walk, in aid of Alzheimer’s Society, took place on Friday 18th September. We decided to do things differently this year due to the COVID-19 circumstances.
Therefore, we all enjoyed a socially distanced stroll around our beautiful flowered garden. We could not have wished for a better day; the sun was shining and the residents enjoyed a cup of tea and cakes, then they released some biodegradable balloons with personal messages on to remember those who have gone, but are not forgotten.
109th Birthday Celebrations
We were all delighted to be celebrating a truly remarkable lady as she reached this amazing milestone of 109 years old, making her (we believe) the oldest person in Northamptonshire.
Her family and friends came to visit her and even came from as far as Scotland just to see her on this special day and spend time with her.
Green Fingers
Our residents enjoyed the fruits of their labour after planting tomatoes seeds earlier on in the season and watching them grow inn the raised beds where they also planted different flowers and hanging flower pots, making the garden even more beautiful to look at.
100th Birthday Surprise
It was great to see Joan with her family who had driven all the way from Devon to spend some time with her on this very special birthday. Joan received her card from Her Majesty, and over 24 cards from friends and family. The residents joined in with the in the celebrations, wearing their headdresses that they had made beforehand. Joan took all this in her stride!
Friendship Day
Residents really enjoyed remembering some of their favourite moments with their best friends growing up. It was so lovely to see their faces light up when talking about their friendships over the years!
Redecorating!
Our residents enjoyed repainting of the existing tea room into a vintage tea room. They helped hang up bunting and setting up the tables with old tea sets.
