Activities at Flowerdown Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Farewell, Sharon!

Our manager here at Flowerdown, Sharon, decided to take early retirement, so we all got together to mark this sad occasion and celebrate all the good times we have shared, as well as to welcome our new Deputy Manager, Urmi, into her new role.

Chinese New Year

Residents and staff at Flowerdown came together to celebrate a socially distanced Chinese New Year with traditional food, decorations and temporary tattoos.

Flower Day

On 18th January, we held our National Flower Day by having flower quizzes and arts and crafts, where residents could either colour in some pictures or make fabric flowers that we will later turn into brooches.

National Bagel Day

To celebrate National Bagel Day, the staff and residents at Flowerdown took it in turn to decorate sweet and savoury bagels, which were enjoyed by all.

Our Activities Coordinator, Katie, dressed up and residents donned their Christmas jumpers to kick off Christmas in style with their annual Christmas party. There was a selection of music, fun games and food, which was enjoyed by all.
