Activities at Marriott House and Lodge Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Sparkler Party
On Friday 3rd November we held a sparkler party to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night. A themed supper of jacket potatoes and hotdogs was served after.
Remembrance Service
On Thursday 2nd November, residents, relatives, staff and friends joined together for a short service to remember all those that we sadly miss. We are very thankful to the Anna Chaplaincy team for organising and facilitating this service. We hope that this remembrance service will become a yearly event.
Bonfire Night Crafts
On Thursday 2nd November, the residents of Marriott House made table decorations ready for our sparkler party.
Barchester's 25th Anniversary
Folks at Marriott House and Lodge had lots of fun celebrating 25 years of Barchester Healthcare. We got into the spirit of the celebrations with a Halloween party. In the lead up to the party, the home was adorned with Halloweens decoration. The afternoon itself included a children's party and a separate party for residents and visitors, which included musical entertainment.
Young and old then came together for the judging of the best pumpkin design and best dressed. This was followed by themed refreshments! The afternoon was enjoyed by residents, staff a visitors alike.
We Remember Them
On the 11th Hour of the 11th day of the 11th Month, we remembered those lost in conflict with our annual balloon release.
Residents, staff and visitors stood side by side to pay their respects to those lost or injured in conflict around the world. Everyone wrote messages to those, which were attached to red balloons and released during the two minutes silence.
