Activities at Marriott House and Lodge Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Marriott House and Lodge Care Home
Wear it Red
On Friday 5th February, Marriott House and Lodge was awash with crimson, scarlet and vermilion to raise awareness for the British Heart Foundation. We held a ‘Wear Red Day’ to pledge our support. Many residents chose to join the staff in the themed activities. Theresa Shell, General Manager said ‘it was lovely to see so many staff and residents dressed in red to support the British Heart Foundation.' The home has raised £25 for the British Heart Foundation.
Balloon Tennis
Residents have been enjoying balloon tennis and music movement sessions. It is key for us to keep the residents as active as possible and this is just one of the activities that we provide that allows residents to keep moving whilst having some fun!
Burns Night at Marriott House and Lodge
On the 25th January, residents and staff celebrated Burns Night with an afternoon of Whiskey and Haggis tasting. There was also some Robert Burns poetry and by the end of the afternoon some singing and dancing.
Brent Lodge Wildlife Hospital
Animal Lovers at Marriott House
Musical Happy Hour
Residents, staff and visitors have been coming together for some singing, dancing and lots of laughter before lunch, followed by Tipple at Twelve.
These sessions have been such a success that they are now taking place frequently throughout the week!
