Barchester Care Awards 2019

The Barchester Care Awards celebrate excellence in the quality of care we provide by recognising those individuals that go the extra mile to make a difference to the lives of those we support.

The awards are open to employees from all of Barchester’s 200 care homes and hospitals across the UK. In 2019, there were over 1,900 nominations in total. Divisional Winners were selected by a panel of judges, so they could decide on the overall National Winners for each category.

The categories have been created to reflect outstanding contribution in a whole variety of roles across the company, ranging from ‘Registered Nurse of the Year’ and ‘Foundation Champion’ to ‘Chef of the Year’ and 'Activities Coordinator of the Year'.

This year’s national winners of the Barchester Care Awards were announced at an awards luncheon at the Midlands Hotel in Manchester on 3rd October. Everyone who attended enjoyed a three-course lunch while the winners of the categories were read out and congratulated.
