Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Bamfield Lodge Care Home
Bristol City College students come for a visit
We had the pleasure of having students from the Bristol City College, spend some time with us. The residents had a lovely time chatting to them and sharing memories and stories of their time in education. We cant wait to have them back!
Introducing our new Magic Table
We are excited to announce that we have our very own magic table at our home. The table has lots of amazing benefits to help to enrich the lives of our residents, including digital painting by numbers, brain training apps, interactive sensory games and lots more. A resident who had a lot of fond memories of holidays to Greece was thrilled to be able to visit again through Google Earth. We have also been using it to keep fit, by following exercise videos using the YouTube App. We are so excited to continue using this and discovering what else it has to offer!
Oakham Treasures
We had a fantastic time taking a trip down memory lane at Oakham Treasures. We were all absolutely amazed by the items on display and the lovely conversations that were stirred up during our visit. It was so interesting to learn more about our residents lives and the wonderful memories they had to share with us during our trip. One of our residents was particularly interested in the collection of old hairdressing equipment which brought back memories of his time as a hairdresser, and gave him a chance to reconnect with his past.
Ladies day at The Grand National
We celebrated Ladies Day at The Grand National by decorating some hats to wear for the occasion. Everyone got together for the races and cheered on our chosen horses, decked out in our beautiful hats. A very exciting day was had by staff and residents.
Windmill Hill City Farm visit
We had a wonderful day out at Windmill Hill City Farm, visiting all the adorable animals they have there. We especially loved the two cows, and enjoyed giving them lots of attention! We finished our day with a delicious cake and a cuppa in the café. We are already looking forward to the next trip!
Gardening Club
We have been busy in the garden now that spring is finally here! We have planted lots of beautiful flowers in our raised bed In the centre of our garden. We are very excited to start growing our own vegetables and have sown carrot seeds and also tomato plants. We cant wait to see how our crop flourishes, and enjoy our very own homegrown produce.
