Our staff are what hold the home together. Each one of these team members are dedicated to providing high quality care and services to those we support, and ensuring that residents enjoy all aspects of life at our home. See below to meet some of our friendly faces:

Maria Stefea

General Manager

Hi my name is Maria, and I am the General Manager here at Wadhurst Manor. Welcome to our website!

I am a Registered Nurse who has many years of experience in health & social care, which includes time spent in the private sector.

I have a Level 5 Diploma in Management and I have been the General Manager of Wadhurst Manor since September 2020.

I believe that everyone should have the best care possible and that we should treat each other as if we're family. There is nothing more rewarding then to be able to support and care for people in the later stages of their life.

I am proud to be the General Manager of Wadhurst Manor, and I look forward to welcoming you or your loved ones into our care.

Maya Manea

Deputy Manager

I am the Deputy Manager here at Wadhurst Manor, I have worked in Barchester for over 5 years and I have been a registered nurse for 7 years. I have recently been working as a peripatetic nurse within our 2 sister homes but in April 2020 I was promoted to Clinical Lead based at Wadhurst Manor. I enjoy working with the team here and supporting them in anyway I can. I am very passionate about my job and I need to know my residents are receiving high quality care.

Florin Mortoiu

Clinical Lead

Hi, I am Florin the Clinical Lead here at Wadhurst Manor Care Home.  I graduated as a registered nurse in 2007. After graduation, I worked previously in an emergency hospital in Romania, I joined at Wadhurst Manor in 2020 as a senior nurse. In 2023, I was promoted as Clinical Lead.

I am passionate in working with people, performing my job role, formulating and implementing nursing care plans, ensuring that quality person centred care is delivered in line with associated policy.

Monica Sardaru

Senior Registered Nurse

Hi my name is Monica and I am a registered Nurse here at Wadhurst Manor. I joined the team in June 2017. I qualified as a Nurse back in 2014 and worked for a few smaller companies previously. The team here are lovely to work with and we all have a great relationship. I am very passionate about my role and our residents are at the heart of everything I do.

Preye Ejovwo-Ottoh

Registered General Nurse

Hello, I am Preye I am a Registered Nurse here and have been in this role since December of 2020. I previously worked in Hospitals and care setting in America so this is a very different experience for me. One I am enjoying very much though. Our residents are just lovely and it is a pleasure caring for them.

Mohammed Ali

Home administrator / Buddy Champion

Hello my name is Mohammed. I am the Home Administrator here at Wadhurst Manor. I have worked for Barchester since 2017. 

I previously worked for another home as an Admin Assistant. I have recently completed my Level 5 NVQ in Management. 

Getting to know the residents and their families, knowing that we are making a positive difference to their loved ones lives is very rewarding.

Joanne Mallion

Head Chef

Hi, I am Jo and I am the Head Chef at Wadhurst Manor. I have been working here since 2011. I am passionate about cooking freshly home cooked food for our lovely residents. I also enjoy discussing with the residents what meals they would like to have and receive on our seasonal menus.

I have lived in Wadhurst for over 50 years and I love living in this town which was voted the best place to live in the UK in 2023.

In my spare time I like being with my grandchildren and taking my dog out for a walk in the countryside.

Paul Robinson

Head Of Maintenance

Hi, I am Paul the Head of Maintenance at Wadhurst Manor. I started with the company in 2023. I am enjoying my role and no day is the same. I strive to keep the home environment up to the highest standard possible and to ensure that both residents and staff can enjoy their surroundings safely. During my free time I like to stay active by cycling and riding my Motorbikes, of which I have three. I am also a bee keeper.

I have two children and four grandchildren. I look forward to assisting you all and helping with any maintenance needs in the home.

 

 

Marta Tajak

Head Housekeeper

Hello, my name is Marta and I am the Head Housekeeper. I have worked at Wadhurst Manor since we opened. I take pride in making sure our home is spotless. I have very high standards for our Housekeeping and Laundry services. I enjoy spending time with the residents and families as much as possible.

Tamsin Watts

Admin assistant

Hi, my name is Tamsin and I am the administration assistant. I have worked at Wadhurst Manor since 2019 starting as a part time receptionist. Previous to this role i was a primary school teacher. I have really enjoyed interacting with residents their families and staff here. I have only recently taken on the role as admin assistant. I will look forward to greeting you and helping with any queries or questions you may have. 

Jimmy Hole

Hello my name is Jimmy, I am a resident here at Wadhurst Manor. I have lived here since July 2019 and since moving in have made lots of new friends. Everyone is really friendly and the staff are wonderful. I really enjoy helping out  with some odd jobs it keeps me busy and I love meeting and greeting all the new guests that come into the home.

Daniela Eremencu

Care Practitioner

I have worked here since 2020, however previously I worked in one of our sister homes in Eastbourne. I was a senior care assistant for over 8 years before becoming a Care Practitioner. It is a role I am very passionate about and I was a Registered Nurse in Romania so caring is in my heart.

Alexandra Dragan

Care Practitioner

Hello, my name is Alexandra, I am a Care Practitioner. My career in medical and care fields starts with my first training in care in 2016, later on I decided to further my studies in a field which had long been of interested me, this then brought me a diploma as a pharmacy nurse in 2018. 

Since then I have realised that I want to further my career in care and so in 2023 I became a care practitioner at Wadhurst Manor, where I have been part of the team since 2020. 

Together with the amazing team here I hope to provide the best care to both our residents and their friends and family for many more years.

Ken Graham

Senior Healthcare Assistant

Hi I am Ken. I have been a Senior carer here for 7 years now. I have had a few roles a couple being a specialist epilepsy support worker and another as a medic for a doctors surgery. I really enjoy my role, I work predominantly within our memory lane community. Supporting those living with dementia. I enjoy the interaction with each of them. The appreciation we receive back is so rewarding.

Hi, my name is Alexandra and I am a Senior Carer at Wadhurst Manor. 
I was a carer for 8 years before becoming a Senior Carer which I have been for 5 years. 

I love making the residents happy and have a good laugh. I also take great pride in taking care of our residents. 

Jaime Harding

Senior Carer

Hi, my name is Jaime, I am a Senior Carer here at Wadhurst Manor. I have been a Carer for 14 years.

I am originally from Dorset. I enjoy walking outdoors and listening to music. I am passionate about supporting the residents with the things they love also. 


I thoroughly enjoy being a Carer and look forward to spending time with the residents. I am here to help and support them with their needs.

Jacqueline Ndayikunda

Hello I am Jacqueline but everyone calls me Jackie. I have been working here at Wadhurst Manor since 2015. I started as an agency Carer. I really liked the way the home was run and the ethos behind everything they do. When a position became available I did not hesitate to apply. The team are great as is the management too.

I started working in our sister home back in 2012. I transferred over to Wadhurst Manor in October 2020. My previous role was one of a college lecturer teaching young children painting, decorating and construction. Care is a very different role for me but one i enjoy immensely. I enjoy making a difference to those that really need it. 

Sarah Smith

Assistant Activities Coordinator

I have worked at Wadhurst Manor in many different roles since December 2011. Prior to this I worked as a nurse, exercise teacher and and preschool supervisor. I have 4 lovely children who are now grown up and travelling the world. My hobbies include visiting my children, singing, dancing, hiking, mountain biking, skiing, reading and amateur dramatics.I find enabling residents to remain active and engaged both physically and mentally is a wonderfully rewarding job. I particularly enjoy working on our memory lane units becoming immersed in their realities, enabling them to live their best lives by concentrating on what they can do not what they can't.
