Activites at Hyacinth House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Celebrating life at Hyacinth House Care Home
Unleash Your Creativity!
It's never too late to try something new, like pottery painting! Our residents discovered hidden talents for creating beautiful art.
We had a great time with this fun activity and are ready for the new challenge.
Happy International Women's Day!
We celebrated in a delightful manner with afternoon tea after enjoying a lovely catch up with our relatives, who attended the quarterly meeting.
It’s always wonderful to receive feedback and suggestions that can help us make our home even more special
What a lovely afternoon it has been!
Hyacinth House Community Café is the heart of the action
Residents, visitors, and staff mingling together like old friends sharing stories about their recent shopping sprees to plans for the next holiday adventure. There is never too much laugher at Hyacinth House
Our residents love opening our doors to the local community for a warm cosy cup of tea and a friendly chat. Come and join us next time!
Flipping Fun at the Wimborne Minster Pancake Race!
Planting Hyacinth Flowers at Hyacinth House
Residents embarked on a delightful journey of shopping for and planting stunning flowers. The pleasant weather added extra layer of enjoyment to this engaging activity.
Our residents along with our dedicated head of maintenance Matt, took great pleasure in transforming our outdoor into a colorful and vibrant garden.
National Cornish Pasty Week
In celebration of this delightful occasion, our residents, their relatives, and our staff came together to embrace the joy of creating their very own Cornish pasties. Each pasty was crafted not just with fresh ingredients but also infused by love and laughter, making this experience special.
Among our enthusiastic pasty bakers, some chose to personalise their own creations by adding their initials, giving each pasty a unique and heartfelt touch. This little detail not only made the pasties stand out but also added a sense of ownership and pride to our culinary masterpieces
A day of shopping and preparing for the upcoming spring
In between the showers, our residents had a brilliant time shopping in our local garden centre.
A debate was had to find the best plants to bring back with us as we start to welcome in the spring!
It was great to see our residents share their knowledge and love for all things plants

A Wonderful Open Day at Hyacinth House!
We had a fantastic and successful Open Day yesterday! It was great to welcome so many visitors through our doors, to explore our lovely home and learn more about our services and caring community.
The home was decorated with stunning Ikebana floral displays created by our residents in the morning. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a social gathering singing along to the brilliant Nigel Revill, while sipping a glass of fizz and indulging in delicious doughnuts - the perfect treat!
Thank you to everyone who came along - we are so grateful for all the lovely feedback we received!
