Activities at Kingsland House Care Home

Wonderful singer Aimee treated us to a wonderful afternoon of music and dancing to timeless classics from across the decades with some extra-special wartime songs to mark D-Day and honour the occasion. 

Aimee’s infectious energy and beautiful voice brought so much joy to our home.  

As it was Chelsea Flower Show Week, here at Kingsland House we had our own colourful flower-arranging fun, making some gorgeous and skilful creations which could be enjoyed around the home, whilst others were taken to some more poorly residents to enjoy in their rooms. 

We had the most amazing morning on a minibus trip to Shoreham Lifeboat Station, always a popular place to visit!  We received the warmest welcome and a brilliant tour, learning the inspiring story of Shoreham Lifeboat and the vital work of the RNLI, and how this incredible service at Shoreham has been saving lives since 1865 — starting with rowing boats — and how much it’s evolved over the years.

We saw both the lifeboats, enjoyed beautiful views over the harbour, and came away full of admiration.

We enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with the children of Little Lancing who shared songs, smiles, puzzles, laughter and fun. What joy their visit brought !

We love our inter-generational afternoons. The connections bring so much to our residents and our young visitors alike, fostering a great sense of community.

Come rain or shine, it's always fun & games at Kingsland House. 

We like to get our minds working with puzzles, word games and board games and really test our brain power, starting with easy games to warm up, then tackling the more difficult ones. We can get quite competitive, but always have a laugh! 

An outing to Lancing College! 
We took to the road in our mini bus and visited Lancing College to enjoy the stunning building and the very kind hospitality offered to us all. It was a wonderful trip to attend Evensong at Lancing college chapel.
We all enjoyed the fabulous voices of the college choir. Our residents said it was magical to take part and be in the beautiful chapel truly enchanting. 

We had a joyful afternoon of music and dancing with singer Sharon and her fabulous selection of favourite golden oldies! She held a concert in our lounge and went to visit some of our residents in their rooms - Sharon has us on our feet, singing along and tapping feet - thank you Sharon for a truly fun filled afternoon!
