Activites at Maple Leaf Lodge Care Home
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Celebrating life at Maple Leaf Lodge Care Home
Nottingham Forrest Football Club help realise dream
Peter, a resident, had always been a big supporter of the football team, Nottingham Forrest, so the staff at the home made his wish a reality, proving the old adage, it’s never too late.
Peter has lived at Maple Leaf Lodge for many years and is beloved by staff and residents alike. Staff at the home were delighted to be a part of making his dream come true, as they knew how much it meant to him, and they all wanted to be there to see the smile on Peter’s face when his dream was realised.
Peter, a lifelong supporter of Nottingham Forest, was absolutely overjoyed to open a personalised ‘thank you’ letter sent directly from the club. The letter acknowledged his decades of loyal support and expressed the team’s appreciation for fans like him who have stood by them through every season.
Garden Exercise
Residents have enjoyed a relaxing gentle exercise session in the garden, soaking up the fresh air and basking in the sun. Among blooming flowers and chirping birds, the garden provided the perfect setting for light movement, stretching, and conversation.
National Flower week
To celebrate British Flowers Week, residents have enjoyed a joyful and creative flower arranging session using beautiful British blooms.
Wish came true ......
We love to make wishes come true and we had an oppertunoty to do just that this week. Janet who owned a cake shop Websters in Grantham just wanted to go back to that life for a day
Thanks to Lel from 'Lovely Loaves' we made this happen.
Gentlemans Club
This morning we took the Gentlemens Club to the Brewers Fayre for a smashing breakfast and a chat.
VE Day Celebrations
The cold weather didn’t dampen our spirits as residents came together indoors to mark VE Day with a festive BBQ and nostalgic music. The home was filled with laughter, music, and fond memories as the celebration brought the community together to honour this important day in history.
St George's Day Celebration
Residents and staff have paid tribute to our patron saint, St George, celebrated for his legendary courage and unwavering sense of honour. We came together to wave the flag of St George. We have celebrated all that makes England great.
Paint and Sip Club
The processo was popped open and the painting began. Lots of wonderful creations and chatting enjoyed. Once completed all the artwork was displayed in our cafe.
Trip to the Garden Centre
The sun is out so we are out. Lovely Ladies trip to The Garden Yard to have a look at all the lovely plants in the sunshine and grab a coffe and cake.
