Activities at Moors Manor Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Jo Henderson

Activities Coordinator

Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.

I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.

When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.

I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Moors Manor Care Home

Spring is in the Air

Spring is in the air! Residents, relatives and our local community joined together for our spring fair on Saturday. The sun was shining and everyone enjoyed the entertainment from Amie our country singer and Nick Sellars. We clapped, sang and laughed along whilst enjoying a delicious buffet. There was a selection of local craft stalls who sold many of their home made wares

Lloyds beloved car, his Morris Minor

Lloyd enjoyed his tea and chat to Bibesh our Activities Coordinator. He was telling Bibesh about his beloved car MORRIS(MU9167). They finished the afternoon with a few games of tic tac toe which Lloyd was quite a master at.

New Knit club at Moors Manor

Our lovely resident Christine has been teaching others how to knit. We now have formed our very own knit club.

Making Easter Cards to send to relatives and loved ones

Christine has created a fun egg card to send to her brother for Easter. Both Veena and Val were pleased with their cards and each wrote an individual message to their loved ones. Just one of the Easter activities here at Moors Manor. This afternoon our residents will enjoy tea and hot cross buns and some might venture into the garden as it is a lovely sunny Good Friday.
