Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Bamfield Lodge Care Home
Gardening Club
We have been busy in the garden now that spring is finally here! We have planted lots of beautiful flowers in our raised bed In the centre of our garden. We are very excited to start growing our own vegetables and have sown carrot seeds and also tomato plants. We cant wait to see how our crop flourishes, and enjoy our very own homegrown produce.
Afternoon Tea
We had some lovely residents from Beaufort Grange Care Home - Barchester Healthcare over for afternoon tea! Special thanks to our amazing chef Bev and the kitchen staff for making us a beautiful tea. We had a wonderful time chatting and singing together. Thank you for coming we all enjoyed ourselves very much.
PAT Dog Visit
We had a special visit from Fleur the Pat Dog to give everyone lots of cuddles in return for lots of pats (and biscuits).
Animal therapy has extensive benefits for older people and as such we have regular PAT dog visits to our home alongside outings to local farms and zoos. To learn more about life at our home please drop in for a chat.
Flower Arranging
We had a Fabulous afternoon at Bamfield Lodge with our residents taking part in flower arranging.
The afternoon was nothing short of fabulous. As the fragrance of fresh blooms filled the air, our community space transformed into a lively workshop brimming with creativity. With a variety of flowers at their disposal,our residents set to work crafting their unique floral arrangements.
It was a heartwarming sight, watching the residents as they carefully selected each stem, thoughtfully positioning them within their arrangements. The process was therapeutic, allowing them to express themselves and connect with nature. For many, it brought back memories of gardens they once tended to or bouquets they'd received in the past.
Off To The Pub
This week some of our residents requested a trip out to one of the popular local pubs for some drinks and dinner. Some of the residents just fancied the local pubs famous ice-cream sundaes!
Regular day trips, meals out, pub visits and outdoor activities are made possible through the use of our home mini-bus. Our activities programme includes a range of outings each month. Call us to find out more about life at Bamfield Lodge
Gardening Club
Today at Bamfield Lodge our Gardening Club has been hard at work using their green-fingered skills to ensure our garden is looking fantastic in the sunshine.
We encourage our residents to use their skills and continue their hobbies whilst living at Bamfield Lodge. Our life enrichment programme is designed to keep residents active and engaged in fun social activities.
