Activities at Corrina Lodge Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
We understand that the people we support have passions and interests that could be difficult to pursue after moving into a care home – but that doesn’t mean we don’t encourage them to try! Some hobbies can define a person, so our Activities Coordinators are dedicated to ensuring that everyone we support is able to do what makes them happy to the best of their abilities. Social events are organised with individual tastes in mind and with the idea that residents have the opportunity to try new and exciting things.

Celebrating life at Corrina Lodge Care Home
Royal British Legion Community Connection
It was wonderful to host another wonderful Camberley Branch - Royal British Legion evening. We were joined by guest speaker Rob Marshall. MBE who delivered a very interesting talk' Victoria and George Crosses, Facts, Frauds and Funnies'.
The branch also had a very special new member joining them, Vera, who was amazing and 102yrs young. She joined the WRAF at only 18yrs old as a forecaster in 1942. It was wonderful to hear about her memories of that time, including D-Day.
Residents John, Terry and Frank said they had thoroughly enjoyed the evening and Frank had the added bonus of winning a bottle of fine wine in the raffle. Cheers!
Gardening club
A lovely afternoon planting sunflower seeds together, enjoying time in the garden, the sunshine and warmer weather.
It has been wonderful to have the support of our Health and Social Care Students from Farnborough College of Technology helping us today. The residents have been thoroughly enjoying their company.

New Year's Eve Show
It was an absolute pleasure to welcome the talented young magician, Magic Miles, who wowed the Corrina Community with his up-close magic. It was wonderful to see the surprise and delight on the residents' faces as Magic Miles took us on a journey of sleight of hand and mind-bending illusions.
It was a perfect way to end 2025 and a great opportunity to raise a glass and wish each other a very Happy New Year!
Intergenerational Connections
Residents enjoyed a lovely morning at our Corrina Tots Intergenerational Group and there were plenty of hugs to go round with beautiful baby Elsie.
These sessions really do have an amazingly positive impact and make a real difference to our day. We always make sure that the Mums have time to enjoy a cuppa and a chat whilst the residents take care of the cuddles.
Summer Finale
We were incredibly pleased to welcome Surrey Heath Mayor Councillor Louise Ashbery to our home and share our ethos as a community and introduce her to some of our wonderful residents and incredible team members.
During the afternoon, our end-of-summer party was a blast; the sun was shining, and the atmosphere was uplifting.
We were joined by the incredible The Dynamos Duo, who filled our afternoon with all our favourite ABBA tunes and were amazing.
There was plenty of dancing and fun.
To top it off, our talented chefs Kathleen and Marcin treated our guests to a delicious BBQ, with homemade burgers.
It was wonderful to come together and create some wonderful memories.

Introducing Mark!
Meet Mark, our warm-hearted Resident Ambassador here at Corrina Lodge. Mark has been part of our family since 2017 and is one of the most active, friendly faces in our community. Mark loves welcoming new residents, helping them settle in, and making sure they feel right at home. If you come for a tour of Corrina Lodge, you’ll almost certainly meet him. He genuinely enjoys sharing what life is like in his home and offering a friendly chat to anyone who walks through the door.
Alongside his ambassador role, Mark was proudly elected Chairman of our Residents’ Committee, which meets every two months. He plays a key part in shaping lifestyle choices and ensuring residents’ voices are heard.
Mark says, “As a spokesperson for our community, I enjoy helping others, welcoming visitors and getting involved with all aspects of life here. I come from a very large family, I’m one of nine siblings. My family and friends often visit and have recognised that living at Corrina Lodge has greatly enhanced my life.”
He loves chatting and keeps in touch with lifelong friends, some for over 50 years, through regular Zoom calls. And of course, he’s a big fan of the food here. His favourite breakfast is sausage, eggs and bacon, though every now, and then he’ll ask the chef for a nostalgic treat of spam and chips. Mark brings warmth and genuine care to our home every day, and we’re incredibly lucky to have him as part of our Corrina Lodge family.
Celebrating St Patrick's Day
Residents and families said they'd had a wonderful time being entertained by The Morrigan Academy of Irish Dance who wowed us with their wonderful dances and vibrant costumes.
A talented group of young girls who brightened our day. We finished the day off with a quiz, singing and an Irish cream tipple.

Corrina's Got Talent
It really has got talent. Residents and team members came together to share music, dance and lots of laughter. There were opera singers, The Doris Days, Father Christmas’ take on the classic ‘Night Before Christmas’ and lots of other wonderful performances.
It was incredible to celebrate the vibrant community that we share at Corrina Lodge. We are looking forward to planning our next theatrical extravaganza together.

Who let the dogs out?
We were so thrilled with the attendance for our Annual Community Dog Show.
We went ahead with the show, despite the crazy weather, it really was a wonderful windy day full of lots of laughter, barks and fun.
We were very fortunate to have Lynne and her canine partner Netty join us. Lynne has first-hand experience of our chosen charity, Canine Partners, and kindly took the time to tell us more about the incredible difference they make.
Some wonderful canine shots were taken by professional photographer Justine from @justshootsphotography capturing the magic of the day and all the amazing dogs who were absolute stars. Thank you to our brilliant judges, Miranda and resident Margaret, who did a stellar job.
Sports for all
We had an amazing sports day and welcomed our local community, friends and family to join us for some sporting fun. We had a really wonderful, high-energy afternoon with lots of laughs and enjoyed some healthy competition.
The Pink Team were very worthy winners with a whopping 215pts. We definitely believe here at Corrina that opportunities to stay fit and exercise are incredibly important for our residents' wellbeing and, with this in mind, we provide a wide selection of classes to suit all, one of our most popular being seated yoga.
Sunny day adventures
We enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the Basingstoke Canal Centre. The weather was perfect with a warm breeze.
It was wonderful to sit by the canal and see the beautiful Egyptian Geese with their super cute goslings.
A chance to enjoy an ice cream and some good conversation.
Days Out are an important part of life at Corrina Lodge and residents are looking forward to cruising along the river at Henley on Thames in June.
Labradoodle visit
Such a joyful morning was shared with Judy and her gorgeous Ripley's Australian Labradoodle’s. Residents and staff enjoyed all the wonderful therapeutic benefits of spending time with the pups.
The puppies all fell asleep at the end of their energetic and playful morning.

Reading sessions
Here at Corrina Lodge we really value opportunities to connect with our local community. We enjoyed a wonderful morning of Intergenerational connections with the reception children from Lyndhurst School.
Children and residents enjoyed sharing books together during 'Stay and Read'. It was such a success and absolutely brightened our residents day and the children clearly enjoyed the morning too, asking if they could stay for the day.
We are really looking forward to future visits and welcoming the children again.

Community spirit
The residents loved welcoming Jules and her lovely team from GROHE who visited us to volunteer some of their time. We had a brilliant morning together planting spring bulbs in pots for residents to enjoy on their window sills.
Residents enjoyed playing a selection of games and certainly enjoyed the challenge. Volunteers really do make a difference and have a positive impact. We are fortunate to have a great group of volunteers that visit regularly, and we are always on the lookout for more.
Wellness time
Our Spa Retreat for wellbeing always has a positive impact. The Life Enrichment Team are able to connect and spend quality time with many of our wonderful residents regularly, creating a relaxing and therapeutic space, offering a selection of treatments including our most popular soothing hand soaks, followed by a gentle hand massage for relaxation and connection.
Residents say they feel their mood lift as soon as they come into the spa environment, which is wonderful to hear.
