Activities at Kenwyn Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Life at Kenwyn Care Home
The Four Seasons Play visits Kenwyn
On Friday in Kenwyn, we had the unrivalled pleasure of welcoming the Cascade Theatre Company.
Such a huge privilege and event for us to host.
The Cascade Theatre company research, write and present arts-based work relevant to your stated needs, bringing a unique blend of drama, psychology and sheer, big-hearted fun. It can involve workshops, plays, films, sketches, training programmes to name but a few.
The play was advertised as coming to Kenwyn on Radio Cornwall and has toured more than 40 care homes in the UK with incredible success.
This time the play presented to us was the beautifully interactive ‘Four Seasons.’ Each season depicted by its own interactive prop, theme and story.
Our residents loved it and we want to extend a huge thank you to all those involved in presenting it to us.

Kenwyn's Dementia Cafe and Marks Ark visit
This week we held Kenwyn’s Dementia Cafe.
We enlisted the support of Mark's Ark Wildlife Encounters to make sure that the cafe was really interactive.
Animals have the ability to reach people on a level that humans can’t always reach each other, especially those who live with Dementia.
Some of our residents adore animals - even the weird and wonderful.
Watch his space for details of our next cafe.
