Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Sherwood Court Care Home
A trip to Booths
Making the most of the warm weather with a trip out for tea coffee and cake, residents and staff enjoyed a walk in the sun to Booths for a wander around and lunch.
Roald Dahl
To celebrate Roald Dahl Day ,Willy Wonka and the chocolate Factory was put on all the tvs and staff dressed as Oompa loompas and took a delicious chocolate trolley around the home this went down very well with everyone what a fun day.
Wallace Collection
Our homes had a fantastic time joining members of the Wallace Collection for an amazing sensory session.
During the live virtual experience, our residents explored one of the museum’s most beautiful Dutch flower paintings and learnt new drawing techniques.
We cannot wait to put our creative skills to a test and produce beautiful paintings of our own.
Everyone enjoyed the lovely talk, we all had lots of fun and it’s given us plenty of ideas.
A splash of colour
Today we have enjoyed a splash of colour at Sherwood Court as we enjoyed a creative arts and crafts session. Residents have expressed themselves as they painted bird boxes for our beautiful garden here at the home. Arts and crafts are a popular feature on our homes life enrichment programme.
A breath of fresh air
Today at Sherwood Court we are taking advantage of the cooler weather and got out and about for some fresh air. We took a nice local stroll through the local woods, and as you can tell it was enjoyed.
Pet therapy
Today at Sherwood Court, Jax came to visit us and gave out plenty of loves and lapped up all the attention. We love our pet therapy visits.
Residents enjoyed sharing memories of their pets and the names they had. We are animal lovers here at the home!
Friday 26th August is National Dog Day and we look forward to seeing pictures of your fur babies to share with our residents.
