Activities at Wilton Place Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Baking in the Bistro
Sometimes it's just good fun to spend time together.
Baking and Word games in the Bistro were the order of the day. Good company, good friends and engaging activities.

Oktoberfest
The evening culminated in residents, families and staff joining together to celebrate and enjoy beer sampling, bratwurst and bockwurst canapes with rye bread and German cheese. Pretzels and Peffernusse were also on offer along with various mustards and sauerkraut.
The traditional folk music - Volksmusik (music of the people) was the perfect backdrop to the frivolities, a fabulous evening was had by all. It was great fun and was a great way to brighten up an autumnal evening.

Movement to Music
Fun and laughter in the Cinema room today as Angela, our Activities Coordinator hosted singing and dancing for our residents.
Everyone participated enthusiastically and enjoyed the opportunity for a sing-a-along.

100th Birthday
A Special Celebration for Iris on her 100th Birthday .
A wonderful week of celebrations for Iris's milestone birthday surrounded by friends and family. The week started with a pamper session to prepare for the 'big day' and then on Iris's actual birthday there was cake, champagne, presents and a party with entertainment from Nick who sang songs from all of Iris's favorite musicals.
On Saturday another party with more family and friends, such a perfect celebration for 100 wonderful years!

Visit to the Golf Course
Maureen captained the ladies team of the Highpost Golf Club from 1997 to 1998.
Dee, current ladies’ captain and all the past ladies’ captains hosted a lovely afternoon tea for Maureen.
She was treated to a golf buggy ride around the course, followed by home made scones, with jam, cream and pots of tea and coffee. Maureen had a wonderful time reminiscing and catching up with club news.
