Activities at Brampton View Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Brampton View Care Home
Carolling Church Service
Our local church from Kingsthorpe parish visited us this week for a carolling church service. We spent the evening singing along to classic carols and listening to the Christmas story and prayers. The minister met the residents who attended and learnt about their lives and the residents commented that it was lovely to have the service brought to them.
Children’s Carol Service
Christmas spirits were well and truly raised this week with a visit from the local primary school to sing Christmas carols. After the performance the children handed out flowers to the residents in attendance and we then surprised them with a visit from Father Christmas. The children were then invited to the grotto to see if they had been naughty or nice and received a little gift if they were on the nice list, thankfully they all were! We can't wait for our next visit.
Christmas Fete
Staff, residents, relatives and the local community came together at Brampton View to enjoy a wonderful Christmas Fete. There were all kinds of stalls on offer manned by volunteers, friends and family and lots of local stall holders came along to sell their wares too. There were delicious mince pies, lovely craft items, fabulous knitwear, jewellery and collectables, the list goes on! The team at Brampton View care home would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who either manned a stall, donated a raffle prize or who came along to support the home.
Christmas Treat Tasting
What better for a Friday afternoon than to spend time taste testing all the Christmas food available. Residents spent time tasting Christmas cake, stolen, after eights, turkey flavoured crisps and much more. They commented that it was a nice variety of food to try and it all brought back memories of previous Christmases. We are now thinking of ideas for our next taste testing!
Brampton View Pyjama Day
Staff at Brampton View came to work in their pyjamas and slippers to help spread some Christmas cheer around the home. It worked well as the residents spent all day with smiles on their faces giggling at the staff. The residents have been coming up with ideas for themed days for next year as they have enjoyed the staff dressing up so much!
Christmas is not Christmas without sparkly singers!
We had a wonderful visit from Lesley Ann & Katie Rose who spent time entertaining us this week with our favourite Christmas songs and carols! The residents always enjoy joining in with them and getting up for a dance alongside the girls! They put everyone in the Christmas spirit and left us feeling fabulous.
