Activities at Cadbury Hall Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life. Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Hannah Lewis
Hi, my name is Hannah and I am the Activities Coordinator at Cadbury Hall.
I studied ‘Creative Expressive Arts, Health and Wellbeing’ at university and am passionate about using the arts to aid people’s social, physical, and mental wellbeing. In my spare time I love to dance, sing, and act, and help to run a local drama group for children aged 10-18.
With the support of all staff at Cadbury Hall and feedback from residents, we aim for a varied and person-centred activity schedule to help the residents lead rich and fulfilling lives. The best part of my day is seeing the residents get stuck in with the activities and looking at the smiles on their faces.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Cadbury Hall Care Home

Tea With A Pony
We had an amazing morning over at Little Grace Riding Stables with the Claverham & Winford RDA.
Tea With A Pony was a massive success, and we can not thank their volunteers enough. Our lovely resident June used to own and train horses in her day so this was a real treat. June is losing her sight, so to be able to touch and smell the ponies made her so happy.
At Cadbury Hall, that's what we like to do, create memories, and ensure our residents are leading full enriched lives.

Gardening with Paul
Paul is a very familiar face around the home, designated driver, maintenance man and head gardener. He really is the go to man. Paul encourages residents to join him in the garden when the weathers nice, to help with planting, weeding and passing on any tips that they might have. It is a lovely way to spend a sunny afternoon, reminiscing and socialising with each other. Our garden is looking lovely and hopefully will be producing vegetables soon.

Carers Week
We always appreciate the hard work and dedication shown to us by our amazing care team. In honour of carers week we had a pizza night for the team with gifts of chocolates and sweets which went down a treat. We have a great team here at Cadbury who support the residents and each other, we have a whole home approach that everyone takes in their stride, ensuring the best possible care standards for our residents.

Father's Day at Cadbury
We cherish our fathers at Cadbury, be it staff or residents. Our lovely manager Audrene picked out special personalised gifts for every father who was with us on the day. Andrew loved gardening so a special garden gift set bought a lovely smile to his face. Everyone enjoyed a buffet banquet afternoon tea prepared by our talented head chef. Everyone had a great day finished off with a film chosen by the gents.

Paula’s Purr-fect surprise
Our activity co-ordinator Paula managed to surprise all of our residents and staff with a visit from some very cute four legged friends. A very special lady let us borrow her kittens for the afternoon for lots of cuddles and laughter as they played around the home. June was absolutely delighted to experience a cuddle with one of the kittens who obviously felt the same as it fell asleep on her.
Ruth was besotted and is working on the general manager to acquire a cat for the home. Watch this space to see if she’s successful.

Creative Mojo
We have fortnightly creative mojo sessions with Mel, which we thoroughly enjoy, this time we created a commemorative piece for the 80th anniversary of the D Day landings. We painted all of the pieces and then Mel sticks them all together, we are always amazed by the finished piece. Dorothy, who doesn’t believe that she's creative at all, has really enjoyed coming along to theses sessions and socialising with fellow residents and as it turns out is actually quite creative.
