Activities at Challoner House Care Home
Our specialist activities staff are committed to organising a mix of activities and events for residents and the local community to get involved in, including trips out to local places of interest in our minibus and visits from entertainers and musicians. It is important to us that each individual who we support can get as much from these as possible, so we try our best to arrange activities that reflect their interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

The Queen's Birthday
Residents loved meeting the Queen on her birthday!
World Poetry Day
For World Poetry Day, residents took it in turn to read out their favourite poems to eachother.
Comic Relief
We had a 'Wear Red Day' for Comic Relief and all residents and staff were happy to get involved.
Triple Celebration
Not only did we celebrate Burns Night recently, but we also had two birthdays in the home; Betty turned 95 and Freda turned 101 - a triple celebration!
Christmas Concert
Challoner residents visited the local school to enjoy a special Christmas concert. Team members were also performing at this concert, which made it extra special for all.
Salvation Army Christmas Concert
Challoner residents began their Christmas celebrations with a carol service from the local Salvation Army staff, where they enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and calming music.
