Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Elain Carey
Hi. My name is Elain and I help to deliver the daily programme of activities and entertainment and celebrations - there is always a birthday to celebrate! I like to see residents making friends and chatting with each other. I have a background in dance, music and acting, and I am also a qualified Zumba instructor, so I love it when we have entertainers in the home. We also have regular visits by therapy pets which residents find very relaxing.
Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Congratulations Vera
We’re sending a massive ‘Congratulations’ to our 2nd Chef; Veronika Nemeth on achieving her Production Chef Level 2.
The Production Chef Apprenticeship Level 2 is for those who are working as part of a team. Within Claremont Parkway Veronika (Vera) is a key member of the hospitality team, she works closely with our Head Chef to produce centrally developed recipes and menus.
Achieving a distinction during her apprenticeship highlights her methodical organisational skills, energy and attention to detail. Vera has learnt so much including the key nutrient groups and methods of adapting dishes to meet the specific dietary, religious and allergenic needs of individuals.
We look forward to seeing the variety of cakes she'll now produce as she's also our star baker!
Natalie Maxwell, General Manager at Claremont Parkway, said: “Vera is an integral member of the team who excels at what she does. I’m delighted she has completed her Level 2 and continues to progress in her role. She has worked so hard and I’m very proud of her.”

Supporting Mature Drivers
Our General Manager; Natalie took time to meet and greet visitors to the Mature Drivers Roadshow at Northampton Police HQs. We had a chance to showcase the benefits of our home to all those attending this informative session as we all learnt about the new highway code and safer ways to drive longer.
Todays event was fully booked but tickets are still available for the next in September at the Goods Shed Rushden.... we'll see you there!

Coronation Arts
We've been getting ready to celebrate King Charles III's coronation with a little arts and crafts. Our lovely ladies enjoyed a relaxing afternoon colouring crowns and flags.

Piano Performace
We all love a little 'ebony and irovy' courtesy of Chris Beahan, he's a wonderful pianist and good friend of the home.

Open Day Delights
Chef and the Claremont Parkway hospitality team excelled themselves on the café sweet treats that awaited our wonderful visitors to the Open Day on Saturday. Nothing went to waste, the cheese straws were a big hit as usual and the Biscoff cake was by far the star of the show!
