Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Elain Carey
Hi. My name is Elain and I help to deliver the daily programme of activities and entertainment and celebrations - there is always a birthday to celebrate! I like to see residents making friends and chatting with each other. I have a background in dance, music and acting, and I am also a qualified Zumba instructor, so I love it when we have entertainers in the home. We also have regular visits by therapy pets which residents find very relaxing.

Life at Claremont Parkway Care Home
Visiting Christmas Choir
On Christmas Eve we enjoyed a Christmas Carol performance from the local visiting choir, their voices filled our hearts with festive joy as we were served evening tea.
New Year New Plants
The residents enjoyed a spot of indoor gardening, by planting some herbs. With many different varieties to choose from such as cress, lemon balm, chamomile, parsley, basil, oregano and many others. The residents look forward to seeing them grow in the new year and sampling the delights for themselves.
Christmas Day at Claremont Parkway
We definitely made Christmas at Claremont Parkway one to remember!
From the staff dressed as elves and one cheeky reindeer and Santa Clause himself going round and delivering presents to everyone. Our residents were left beaming all day from the love we spread as a team. Chef and the hospitality team prepared a scrumptious Christmas dinner catered to the needs and tastes of each and every one.
From all of us at Claremont Parkway, we hope you had a Christmas as special as ours and have a fabulous New Year!
Exercise with Elaine
Today we enjoyed some armchair exercises held by Elaine our activities assistant. We all gave it our best shot, even Manz our Deputy Manager came to join us.
Christmas Party and Raffle Fun
The Claremont Parkway Christmas Party and Raffle went with a swing on Tuesday! With live entertainment from Mrs Claus; Jenny Simmonds and Bob Ward who had us all shaking our bells and tambourines as we sang along to many Christmas favourites, and well known classics from ABBA and Neil Diamond.
Home manager, Natalie had her hands full giving our prizes galore to winning ticket holders. Our residents throughout the home were very lucky as were visiting members from the local community, friends and family.
It was smiles all around; a day full of fun and laughter!
It's Pantomime Time!
Yesterday we had an amazing trip out to the pantomime to see 'Jack and the Bean Stalk' at the Castle Theatre, Wellingborough. All those that went absolutely loved it, so many smiles.
