"Before choosing to send Mum to Barchester Claremont Parkway Care Home we visited a number of local alternatives and have not been disappointed with the choice we made on her behalf. Claremont Parkway is a very well-appointed care home, my mum's reaction on being shown around was very posh and that's from someone who sets her standards height. We have found the care provided to be kind, compassionate, professional and flexible. This attitude pervades the organisation and having talked privately to staff I know they feel valued and cared for. Excellent."

"My mother has been in Barchester Claremont Parkway Care Home for nearly four years and I can't praise and thank the staff enough for their excellent care. My mother is always clean and tidy and chats to the staff who know all her little ways and character. No task, however small, is too much trouble, any concerns are sorted quickly. I know my mother is safe and comfortable which is a great comfort to the rest of the family. Thank you all."

"For me, the staff are the vital core of the care home. The upgrade in material facilities which of course have helped with the ambience of the home. I am sure the staff are more relaxed. I genuinely feel there is a comfortable empathy between residents and staff. As a visitor I have found it easy to establish a rapport at the home. Thank you."

"My Dad has recently gone to the Claremont Parkway for respite care and we are very happy with the support he is receiving. He needs a lot of help and he is given this with compassion, understanding and good humour - he loves to joke with the staff and they jolly him along when he is in the doldrums. They have even got him joining in with some of the musical events, which is something I thought I'd never see! Beyond that, the staff have arranged for him to have a trip out each week so that he can keep doing some of his weekly activities, which he has really appreciated and makes such a difference. The staff are all lovely and friendly and clearly care about the residents. They are happy to help with whatever the request is and have responded quickly to any concerns raised. Altogether, we are very pleased with how Dad is being looked after, and fully appreciate that this is not an easy job - the team there have made a difficult time much easier for us all."

"My friend was diagnosed with terminal cancer he was given a couple of weeks to live he moved from hospital into Claremont on the 13 August 2021. From the minute we arrived the staff were amazing the care he was given was outstanding from the cleaners, healthcare team, nursing team, reception staff and even the cooks. My mum was in Claremont for end of life care 5 years ago and couldn’t fault the care they gave her. So when the hospital said my friend would be going there I was over the moon, again you outdid yourselves care respect up to date information every single day would love to name everyone individual but you were all great. Thank you so much for all you did for my friend."

"Claremont Parkway is one of the nicest care homes I have been to. Staff are so helpful and friendly, nothing is too much of a problem. Mother settled very quickly and loves the view of the garden from her room. The atmosphere is very good and staff are very attentive to individuals from what I have seen. They treat residents with due care and attention and I am pleased Mother lives here... she loves it! Food is very good according to Mother and their menu does look amazing! We are looking forward to getting outside weather permitting."

"The staff at Claremont are always cheerful, friendly and keep in regular contact. Mother first stayed for a short break after a fall, everyone was so helpful. At 96, she has decided to stay permanently at Claremont. All the family are very happy with the service given. Visiting arrangements during lockdown has been a pleasure."

"You looked after my dad until his death on 5th March 2020. He was only there for about six weeks but was cared for very well. Staff and management really helpful, and the nurses looked after him well. Thank you all very much. The family are pleased that Dad missed the Covid-19 pandemic and is now at peace."

"I would like to express our thanks for the preparations and decoration by the activities organiser for my mother's 96th birthday celebration. The buffet prepared by the chef and catering staff was excellent and the birthday cake was magnificent. Thank you to all concerned."

"Transferred from K.G.H for rehabilitation and physiotherapy just after Christmas 2015. Room available very comfortable and clean. All staff friendly and helpful, assisted and encouraged now I am able to wash, dress and mobilise short distances independently, still have carer to have showers or baths as I choose. Food menus have choice and I enjoy cooked breakfast, hot dinners and dessert, tea times choices of hot or cold with suppers before settling down at night can have hot drinks as requested. Enjoyed social chats, group activities, music entertainment and 1-1 nail care with activity team."

"Our mum was moved here on 27th December 2016 until she passed away on 29th February 2016. The care, love and compassion received by both our mum and ourselves was outstanding. "In general dad has been well looked after, he has been a bit concerned that some of the basics seemed variable. E.g. Glasses left dirty Hearing aids fitted but not working Hair not washed - we did it twice Feet not washed, dressing not changed - we washed feet. He has been given a shower this week after my request."

"My mum came to the care home under c/o the hospital after 10 weeks in hospital. During this time she became muddled and disoriented, since coming to Claremont she has shown rapid improvement. She is encouraged to eat meals in the dining room and chat to other residents. The staff are all very caring and supportive. Although she remains totally dependent, we can see moments of the real mum. Thank you."

"Mum was brought here following a 5-week stay in the hospital. From the first day that she arrived, she has been treated with respect and compassion. "Claremont staff looked after my mother very well. She needed respite care having been in hospital for two weeks she wasn't able to return home and Claremont looked after her needs until she could move to another home. "I was very concerned when transferred from the hospital to Claremont Parkway, I was pleasantly surprised. The home is light and airy in lovely grounds. The food is good and varied, catering for a vegetarian diet. All the staff are pleasant and helpful. There was various entertainment available if you wished to participate. There are tea and coffee facilities available at all times for service users and their family. The home is easily accessible for visiting."

"Nice, friendly staff and always happy to help, although my Nan didn't get any breakfast one morning, she was only offered some when we said to staff about it at 11 am. She was having her lunch soon after and didn't feel hungry. However, they have nice rooms and my Nan has a view onto the garden. You get a TV so they won't get bored. The family are welcome at any time of the day and you are able to take anything in for it to feel homely for the resident."

"Having stayed for only 2 days it is difficult to judge some of the questions asked. However, from entering the home I was greeted with kindness. I have found the staff to be very professional. Safety is high on the list of care. Unfortunately, I have not had time to join in the activities provided. My overall view can be summed up by the fact that I have always dreaded the thought of having to enter a care home - any short spell in Claremont Parkway has changed that."

"I found Claremont to be a lovely surprise, you hear so many horror stories and it was a concern to be going into a home, all be it for a short stay. This home was clean, comfortable and with friendly professional staff, I had one or two issues but having voiced my opinion they were sorted out quickly. "Words cannot describe how wonderful this place is! From the top (management) right down the chain. My father was sent here by the hospital and has been a resident for a couple of months and has been treated with the greatest respect. He loves the place and cried when he was told he was going to rehab. The activities are wonderful they do so much with the residents. I would like to say a heartfelt thanks to everyone. "I'm generally a critical person. Be that as it may, I could not fault the treatment I have been given. All staff have been truly kind. The room has been very clean and comfortable and food has been plentiful and good. I joined in activities and had exercises, it was social and lots of fun. My only complaint has been the mattress as although firm, it was not like my own at home as I have a harder one. I am now going home."

"Mum was looked after very well. She fell in love with nearly all staff and they were very patient and caring with her. Towards the end of her stay she was reluctant to leave. We needed her closer to home, for more people to visit her. All staff lined up a the door to say goodbye. She was very touched."

There were plenty of toilet facilities for residents and visitors, as well as en-suite rooms. Meals were satisfactory, but not always hot. It would have been nice to have alcohol and soft drinks available at lunchtime."

"My 91-year-old mother has just returned home after a 2 week convalescence and recuperation stay at Claremont Parkway. Her stay was funded by the NHS. Both my mother and the family were most impressed by the standard of care that she received; the food that she was served and the delightful room that she occupied. Everywhere looks welcoming and spick and span and the staff are smiling, careful, mindful and kind. We are full of praise for the whole team."

"From initial admission onwards all staff were encouraging, supportive and caring, treating you as an individual and being aware of your needs. Everything from cleaning to care was of a very high standard and although staff were busy they always seem to make time to listen to your needs. Activities were varied and there was no compulsion to join in if you did not want to. Having OT and physio on site particularly helpful. Excellent launch pad for return home."

"I have found all staff, who have worked with me in any way, to be kind, encouraging and willing to 'go the extra mile'. I have gained some weight, which had been lost during the early stage of my illness, and I believe that has happened because of the good variety, quality and presentation of food provided. From entering Claremont unable to walk and seriously dependent, I have become almost fully capable of caring for my personal care. While I still need a wheelchair for distance mobility, I am now able to walk using a zimmer frame confidently. I am very grateful."

"Unlucky for me I was rushed to the local hospital in April without any money etc. I was then transferred to Claremont. Having no money, my hair could not be seen to and my overgrown toe-nails were not cut. In the end, my toes hurt so much, I had to walk about in socks. The weather turned warm; my only having warm clothing, I went about in the nightdress, loaned to me. A kind staff member found a small air-cooler for my room. When I asked for a loan, I was told it's policy for Claremont to always pay the hairdresser and nail cutter. Finally, a friend saw me the day before I was leaving. It was bad luck for me not to have any money or change of clothing. My hope is, no one else goes through what I did. If only I could have had a loan, instead I went home with unwashed hair, worst of all toenails that hurt. Room was nice, so were the staff."

"The facilities were good, the only problem my mother had was staff were very loud on handover (desk not far from mum's room). She said that as she was trying to fall asleep in the evening they would gather and end up waking her (she is not deaf). We family members experienced this on 2 occasions as she could not hear us speaking above the noise. Some staff don't speak clearly and also very fast. They think clear means loud, which it doesn't."

"I assume I was a 'service user' having spent 2 weeks (post-operative) gaining strength before returning home on 30th May 2018. I was well cared for, even though I found the food disappointingly dull. The morning activities (fun-physio) were always enjoyable, so was the company in the dining area."

"I was resident in Claremont Parkway for 30 days after discharge from hospital with fractured distal radius and pubic ramus. I cannot speak too highly of the care and convalescent service I received during my residence. The individual attention I was given and the teamwork by the nursing, catering, domestic and activities staff were outstanding. My rapidly improving condition was due entirely to the staff's work and encouragement."

"The staff are really exceptional and they are so compassionate and caring; they provided a truly exceptional end of life care for my Dad. They treated everyone with the utmost respect and no matter how busy they were they were always friendly and smiling and supportive. "Found it pleasant once I settled down, plenty to see out of the window also the room was more than satisfactory. Food was excellent and a lot of variety, better than the hospital. The carers were caring a with TV in the room, it was an extra perk. Activities ladies made sure my nails were cut. Very lovely place."

"I have been delighted by the quality of care offered to my father since his admission to Claremont Parkway in late November 2018. His carers have all demonstrated a very high degree of empathy and appear to go the extra mile to help him. There is a very good food service with a wide variety of quality meals created by the in-house chef. I suppose the strongest endorsement I can give, is that after each visit when we head home to Lincolnshire, we are confident that we are leaving Dad in safe, caring hands."

"My brother had a pleasant room with a nice outlook and well equipped with TV etc in a quiet part of the home. Staff were attentive and kind and responded well to any requests I had. "We visited our nan on the day of the 1970 Disco/BBQ. The event was very well organised with food, music and a raffle. All the residents were in the garden area and enjoying the music. The staff were very pleasant and the day went off very well. There also is activities for the residents each month which is really good."

"On entering Claremont, its warm and inviting. There is not that smell of a care home. All the staff have a lovely smile for you and assist you in any way they can. The whole house and garden are kept to a high standard of cleanliness with some of the residence playing dominos in the lounge. My father was only with them for a few weeks but they made his last weeks special. When Dad was struggling to sleep, his friend next door came in and played his accordion to help him settle and sleep. We couldn't ask for more."

"My first impression of Claremont was welcoming, clean and bright. I knew immediately it was a good place for my beloved Mum who had stomach cancer. During her time at Claremont before she sadly passed away, I found the staff to be wonderful and caring and felt me and my family were as much a priority as Mum. In the short time she was there, a couple of months, Mum built up great relationships with her carers which also reassured us she was being well looked after. I would not hesitate in recommending Claremont Parkway."
