Activities at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Activities Assistant

Elain Carey

Activities Assistant

Hi. My name is Elain and I help to deliver the daily programme of activities and entertainment and celebrations - there is always a birthday to celebrate! I like to see residents making friends and chatting with each other. I have a background in dance, music and acting, and I am also a qualified Zumba instructor, so I love it when we have entertainers in the home. We also have regular visits by therapy pets which residents find very relaxing.

Activities and Events Partnerships

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies

Life at Claremont Parkway Care Home

Memory Box

As we are looking for a new Activities Coordinator, some of our team members have been joining in with activities.

Elain was a big hit with the residents; they had fun exploring the feely box and reminiscing with the memory box that Elain had brought in.

Bean Bag Fun

Residents had some fun with some bean bag target practice recently.

Friendship Day

The team making friendship bracelets for Cransley Hospice as part of Friendship Day.

Garden Visits

We recently welcomed vistors again into the home, and it's always nice to see residents' faces light up when they see a loved one.

Green Fingers

Some of the residents had fun outside doing a bit of gardening. We planted up some hanging baskets; they loved getting in there and getting their hands dirty!

Cocktail Creations

Matt, our Head Chef, made some yummy cocktails for the residents and team here at Claremont Parkway (don't worry the team had mocktails). We all had a really lovely afternoon!
