"We are celebrating my brother's birthday - he's 60! His wife (my sister-in-law) is a resident at Drummond Lodge. We've had the most delicious lunch - six of us - in and beautiful room. The day feels special and this feels like a home from home. Welcoming, warm and caring."

"We were celebrating a resident's husbands birthday. We had a wonderful lunch - the chef excelled himself - a table set for us with silver, glasses and the food delicious. The resident was thrilled with everything Drummond Grange was outstanding. An occassion we won't forget. Thank you to the chef and all staff."

"I have been to visit my relative several times and have always been impressed with the staff, the attention and the facilities. Today we were celebrating my relative's husband's birthday and a wonderful meal was prepared- well done!"

"On Friday 4th April, I visited my wife as I do daily, it being my birthday. I was pleasantly surprised that the staff had laid on a little party for me which was very touching. I find all the staff very friendly and caring in everything they do, they do a very difficult job and do it well. Kindest regards."

"My sister has moved into the home this week. I went to visit this week, and the home is lovely, the staff are so friendly, and the food is great. Lots going on and lots of staff about. The chiropodist came to see my sister, but because we were there, it was no problem to come back. She has an en-suite and gets a shower every day. My sister is enjoying it and settled in well."

"A big reassurance during this past lockdown phase is knowing that my partner is well looked after and has been shown genuine love and compassion. It has been so difficult for them to understand (no visiting). I am always kept up to date with his health. All the staff are dedicated and through difficult times always manage a kind word and a smile. My partner looks healthy with the good food and special care and help he receives. The rooms are clean and tidy, and has been made personal to feel like home."

"The rooms are a bit dated and could do with modernisation. Pads don't fit very well as they are always leaking and have to get bottoms changed on a regular basis. There are two types of beds, one that raises at the back of the knees that would stop my wife from slipping down the bed, but unfortunately, my wife's bed does not have this. Otherwise, everything else is of a satisfactory standard."

"My daughter moved in here 3-weeks ago, and I feel a lot more relaxed knowing she’s being cared for. All the staff are friendly, always take time to have a blether, although they are all busy. She has a nice room and plenty of activities going on. I’m going with her on Friday for karaoke. A hairdresser comes in. Five stars to all the staff. She is being well looked after. Thanks to all the staff."

"All the carers and reception staff are all very good and all care for their residents. They are all very friendly. Good activities throughout the week by the activities team. The food looks really good and up to a good standard."

"Every aspect of dealing with Drummond Grange Care Home was fantastic! The only reason I did not give the facilities full marks is that it is starting to look a little tired. However, that is being addressed by management with the refresh of rooms over time. I would like to give special thanks to all of the staff, especially but by no means limited to those in the dementia unit. Absolutely everyone we interacted with was doing a top-notch job and obviously cared very deeply about what they were doing. Sadly, my father-in-law has now passed, but we will always remember how well he was treated in his final days."

"I want to say thank you to this team, all coming from heaven. They are angels and they know what they are doing. They are trying to do the best for my muscles, especially in my hands, they also do a great job with my legs. I want to thank all the carers, nurses and management. Thank you to the physio team, they give me a chance to stand in the hydro pool, this was amazing. My wife is over the moon about my improvements. I can now eat and drink by myself, which I could not do in the hospital."

"I come to visit my friend. We always have a great day. The staff at Drummond Grange Care Home work very hard. If you ask for something they will do all they can to help. The food is fantastic and great choices. Family, friendly and lots of entertainment."

"A very nice home. Food is good and plentiful. the grounds are beautiful for wheelchair walks and sitting outside. Very good daily activities. Onsite gym with physiotherapy staff. Trips to the hydrotherapy pool."

"I have a good relationship with staff and manager. I have been going for respite for years, my husband was there for five years before he died 14 years ago. My daughter was there for six years in the home. My other daughter is in the home for four years, she will be there until anything happens to her, I have no worries about the care she gets. They phone if anything is wrong. I am impressed with the care."

"I came to Barchester Drummond Grange Care Home on 27/06/23 after 6 months in hospital. When I came here I was confused and in a lot of pain. Having now settled, getting closer to accepting I'll never walk again. The staff have been amazing, kind, caring and professional. Everyone, carers, admin, carers, cleaners. They create a friendly, open atmosphere. You are encouraged to make your room your own, you can join in or keep to yourself, and all choices are respected. I feel respected and listened to."

"I always have a pleasant visit when coming to see my mum, the staff are always lovely and eager to help if you have any issues/questions. My mum's room is always kept clean and tidy and other facilities are always kept nice as well. Would recommend this place to anyone and thank you for the 24 hour care you give to my mum!"

"My mum came to Drummond Grange at the end of April 23. She has settled in very well, with excellent support from the staff. Having been housebound for a couple of years, it has been wonderful to see my mum taking part in the many activities (she has even been swimming!). Very pleased that my mum has ended up at Drummond Grange."

"It is hard to quantify, but the staff are consistently positive and happy, and this feeling of well-being seems to transfer to the residents and their visitors who always feel welcomed. It is clear that the staff really care about those they care for. The home has a new manager, yet there was no discernible change in the smooth running of the home. At a recent music festival organised for the benefit of the residents, all the care staff and management actively participated in a very enjoyable event. Cannot decide if I liked the zumba display, choir or hamburgers best."

"Once again, astounded by the level of care, support and thought given to my brother and myself. The recent death of our sister was handled with great respect and dignity. They supported my brother in bringing him to the funeral and I would like to thank the two members of staff for being so kind and supportive on the day and all the team for making it happen. Such a comfort that my brother is loved and cared for by such amazing staff."

"Understanding that we have all just recovered from the COVID-19 pandemic, I think that the home has improved on a number of levels: Personalised care has improved though I would rather more attention be given to residents, especially checking they are wearing clean clothes or dresses. Plate sizes and quality have improved though more seasonal fruits and vegetables would be most appreciated. More credit to staff who are obliging and willing."

"The nursing and care are excellent. Although a large home, the staff all seems to know the resident's name and their needs, and there is a happy, friendly vibe. My mother had a fall - the promptness, care and attention to her and me was of an excellent standard from everyone - we cannot praise them enough. Always open to discussion and resolution if an issue arises, although we wait to see if new housekeepers can address laundry situations. Would prefer there was secure access at the front door."

"In my opinion, this is an exceptional care home, catering from for the special needs my son requires. The staff are very caring for his personal needs and also his mental health which was noted by the hospital speciality clinic remarked that due to the care he was received by the team there was no deterioration in his condition which was very comforting for me to have this opinion from another medical team outside the care home. The atmosphere in home is so friendly and relaxing without affecting the professional duties they have to do. I am so grateful for what they do for my son."

"I cannot recommend Barchester Drummond Grange Care Home more highly. The care of the staff is so professional and organised. The staff are always very on the ball and very kind and uplifting. The ward is clean and spacious with individually designed rooms, out looking the garden. The dining room is beautiful like a hotel and the food is excellent. Thank you so much for caring for my dear friend so well."

"I love how it feels like a family in the home and not a care facility. It's great how my son has fitted in so well as it was such a huge choice for him moving out of home and he is literally living his best life! "I just want to thank you for a wonderful day at Saturday's barbeque, the food and the entertainment were great. The staff were all lovely and it was nice to meet their children and see them at play. "Excellent but there needs to be a better ramp at main entrance which is easier for wheelchairs. Every time for the last year, I need to turn completely around to enter the building backwards."

"I would like to thank the chef and his team for the catering which they did for my brother's birthday party. There was a lovely selection of savoury and sweet treats which were all fresh and tasty. The birthday cake was as delicious as it looked! Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you very much, it allowed us to focus on my brother and his guests."
