"Excellent but there needs to be a better ramp at main entrance which is easier for wheelchairs. Every time for the last year, I need to turn completely around to enter the building backwards."

"I would like to thank the chef and his team for the catering which they did for my brother's birthday party. There was a lovely selection of savoury and sweet treats which were all fresh and tasty. The birthday cake was as delicious as it looked! Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you very much, it allowed us to focus on my brother and his guests."

"I cannot recommend Barchester Drummond Grange Care Home more highly. The care of the staff is so professional and organised. The staff are always very on the ball and very kind and uplifting. The ward is clean and spacious with individually designed rooms, out looking the garden. The dining room is beautiful like a hotel and the food is excellent. Thank you so much for caring for my dear friend so well."

"My late husband and daughter resided here. My daughter now does. Have never had any issues or problems with this provider. I/we are extremely happy with everything. I would recommend this care home to everyone."

"The staff were very friendly and efficient. Because of covid, the meeting was sone in a room with a perspex screen which you entered from outside. This was a well-thought option to be able to see and speak to your resident. Well done all involved."

"My brother has only been in Drummond Grange since August. Settled in well and really pleased with the transition from his other placement. Staff are very friendly and helpful. So far they are meeting all my brother's personal and medical needs."

"Our Mum has been at Drummond Grange for almost a year now, and her quality of life has improved continually. She is so much happier every time we visit her and being highly sociable has thrived being amongst new friends. It has been a challenging year for everyone, and the facilities Drummond Grange provided to allow visits is fantastic to keep viral contact going. The staff are all great and so accommodating."

"Always activities to do, they cover many different aspects to support the individual needs of the clients who live here. They always ask if we want to go out on the bus. I usually say no as I don't like shopping."

"A big reassurance during this past lockdown phase is knowing that my partner is well looked after and has been shown genuine love and compassion. It has been so difficult for them to understand (no visiting). I am always kept up to date with his health. All the staff are dedicated and through difficult times always manage a kind word and a smile. My partner looks healthy with the good food and special care and help he receives. The rooms are clean and tidy, and has been made personal to feel like home."

"A pod visit had been organised for me to see my friend. I was concerned to see that her head wasn't at an angle where she could easily see me, she looked very uncomfortable. It would have been possible to have an additional cushion or similar support to be in place, this would also have allowed her to be in a better position to speak into the microphone on her side of the pod."

"My sister has moved into the home this week. I went to visit this week, and the home is lovely, the staff are so friendly, and the food is great. Lots going on and lots of staff about. The chiropodist came to see my sister, but because we were there, it was no problem to come back. She has an en-suite and gets a shower every day. My sister is enjoying it and settled in well."

"The rooms are a bit dated and could do with modernisation. Pads don't fit very well as they are always leaking and have to get bottoms changed on a regular basis. There are two types of beds, one that raises at the back of the knees that would stop my wife from slipping down the bed, but unfortunately, my wife's bed does not have this. Otherwise, everything else is of a satisfactory standard."

"My daughter moved in here 3-weeks ago, and I feel a lot more relaxed knowing she’s being cared for. All the staff are friendly, always take time to have a blether, although they are all busy. She has a nice room and plenty of activities going on. I’m going with her on Friday for karaoke. A hairdresser comes in. Five stars to all the staff. She is being well looked after. Thanks to all the staff."

"All the carers and reception staff are all very good and all care for their residents. They are all very friendly. Good activities throughout the week by the activities team. The food looks really good and up to a good standard."

"Every aspect of dealing with Drummond Grange Care Home was fantastic! The only reason I did not give the facilities full marks is that it is starting to look a little tired. However, that is being addressed by management with the refresh of rooms over time. I would like to give special thanks to all of the staff, especially but by no means limited to those in the dementia unit. Absolutely everyone we interacted with was doing a top-notch job and obviously cared very deeply about what they were doing. Sadly, my father-in-law has now passed, but we will always remember how well he was treated in his final days."

"I want to say thank you to this team, all coming from heaven. They are angels and they know what they are doing. They are trying to do the best for my muscles, especially in my hands, they also do a great job with my legs. I want to thank all the carers, nurses and management. Thank you to the physio team, they give me a chance to stand in the hydro pool, this was amazing. My wife is over the moon about my improvements. I can now eat and drink by myself, which I could not do in the hospital."

"I have a good relationship with staff and manager. I have been going for respite for years, my husband was there for five years before he died 14 years ago. My daughter was there for six years in the home. My other daughter is in the home for four years, she will be there until anything happens to her, I have no worries about the care she gets. They phone if anything is wrong. I am impressed with the care."

"I came to Barchester Drummond Grange Care Home on 27/06/23 after 6 months in hospital. When I came here I was confused and in a lot of pain. Having now settled, getting closer to accepting I'll never walk again. The staff have been amazing, kind, caring and professional. Everyone, carers, admin, carers, cleaners. They create a friendly, open atmosphere. You are encouraged to make your room your own, you can join in or keep to yourself, and all choices are respected. I feel respected and listened to."

"I always have a pleasant visit when coming to see my mum, the staff are always lovely and eager to help if you have any issues/questions. My mum's room is always kept clean and tidy and other facilities are always kept nice as well. Would recommend this place to anyone and thank you for the 24 hour care you give to my mum!"

"My mum came to Drummond Grange at the end of April 23. She has settled in very well, with excellent support from the staff. Having been housebound for a couple of years, it has been wonderful to see my mum taking part in the many activities (she has even been swimming!). Very pleased that my mum has ended up at Drummond Grange."

"Very nice home when you enter, it always looks very presentable with the doors always open for easy access. Each time I enter though it takes around 15/20 minutes before I see any staff member which makes things a little more difficult. I have been visiting for some time now and always get offered tea or coffee which is nice. Some of the home needs upgrades with chipped paintwork and old carpets etc."
