Activities at Field House Care Home
The Activities Coordinators here at Field House are always keen to learn about residents' interests and hobbies, tailoring meaningful activities to the likes and dislikes of those we support. Our mission is to ignite the past, appeal to current interests and embrace new ones, improving quality of life whilst stimulating the mind and senses. Activities are carried out via small groups or individually, supported by local volunteers. We have access to a range of local community facilities and nearby places of interest, prompting community engagement, and hold special events at the home, where we are entertained by guest vocalists and performers, with 'The Quiz Master' being a fan favourite.
Caroline Davis
Hi, I'm Caroline and I joined Field House in 2021 from another Barchester home. I have worked in care for the last 30 years and a big part of that has been with Barchester.
Here at Field House, I organise a variety of activities and social events within the home and in the community, such as gardening club arts and crafts, weekly exercise sessions along with live singers and musicians every month. We are also keen on regular outings to local landmarks, museums, cafes and shopping centres.
In my job, I'm able to develop excellent relationships with residents and their families providing the support they need. I am very passionate about my job role as it is very important to us as a team that every individual is able to live the life they wish and feel fulfilled in their everyday activities maintaining past hobbies and finding new ones.

Life at Field House Care Home
King Charles' Birthday Celebrations
We raised a glass and made a toast to King Chares on his Birthday! We sang together and ate cake too - A lovely afternoon was had by all.
A Visit from Ben
We all enjoyed a visit from the lovely Ben, the dog. He didn’t fail to put a smile on the residents faces. It was cuddles and treats all round!
Balloon Tennis
One of our favourite games here at Field House is 'Balloon Tennis'. It's so much fun! It's also great exercise. Everyone loves to get involved with this game!
Kerry's Nostalgic Music
We had a visit from an amazing local singer called Kerry. She sang everyone's favourite wartime songs for Remembrance Day.
Remembrance Day
In November at Field House, we were busy with arts and crafts, creating a wonderful Remembrance Day display in our lovely home.
Bonfire Night
We have enjoyed a wonderful evening indoors celebrating bonfire night. We have kept nice and cosy with delicious hot chocolate and toasted marshmallows, and our very own special indoor bonfire and firework display.
