Activities at Hampton Grove Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Hampton Grove Care Home

Out & about in the community
This afternoon Hampton Grove residents took another trip whilst the sun was out to 'The three horse shoes' pub in Yaxley, for their Macmillan charity day.
With entertainment, BBQ, raffle and a tombola.
Residents had a drink whilst enjoying the entertainment, some even got up and had a dance.

The sun was out, and so were Hampton Grove residents
Today we visited Tropical Birdland in Leicester.
Residents had a fantastic day viewing and feeding all the tropical birds, parrots, budgies and a lot more different breeds, even meerkats and a goat.
Residents even had the privilege of having all different breeds of parrots on their arms and neck whilst feeding them.
Afterwards we had a lovely picnic. The whole day was enjoyed by all.

Creatures from the rain forest
Here at Hampton Grove residents are not always able to go out on trips, so we try our very best to bring interesting things into the home for all to see and do.
This week our residents experienced the visit from the Zoolab, with the creatures from the rain forest. We met insects like centipedes, tarantulas, lizards.
Residents couldn’t wait to hold them.

Delightful excursion to Sandringham House & Gardens
The residents of Hampton Grove Care Home enjoyed a delightful excursion to Sandringham House & Gardens. Although we just missed seeing King Charles, who visited last week, the vibrant colours of the grounds were truly a sight to behold. We explored the Church and the Stables, savoured a lovely picnic on the estate, and topped off our visit with tea and coffee at the estate's charming coffee shop.

Visit to Hatfield House
This was a fantastic day for two of our residents at Hampton Grove, that wanted to visit Hatfield House.
Hatfield House was completed in 1611. It was built by Robert Cecil, first Earl of Salisbury and son of Lord Burghley, the chief minister of Elizabeth I.
Walking through the history of the house was amazing, seeing original portraits, furniture, books and other historical things.
We even stopped off, and had lunch there too!

Hampton Grove visits Hamerton Zoo
The sights and sounds of a zoo can be truly uplifting.
Residents from Hampton Grove visited Hamerton Zoo.
The natural beauty, vibrant colours, and playfulness of animals can bring joy and wonder to the elderly.
Being in a natural environment reduces stress and anxiety levels, promoting emotional well-being.
Additionally, interacting with animals can provide a sense of connection and happiness.
This certainly brought happiness to our residents.
