"My mum moved here on 4th October from Leeds. She has been treated with kindness and consideration. Although initially was on the dementia floor, she has got dementia, but they moved her to the ground floor for a better experience, at my request. The home is clean and well-appointed. The bedroom is very spacious and modern, now with access to the garden!"

"My mother has lived at Hampton Grove for the last two years and we have been very impressed with the home. She settled in quickly and is happy there. All staff are approachable, friendly, helpful and informative, and go out of their way to include her in the activities, which are many and varied. We are able to visit her any time and we get a weekly newsletter of activities. We recently celebrated her 100th birthday and the home arranged a wonderful party with food, cake and entertainment. She was thrilled, especially when the news turned up to interview her! It has given us peace of mind to know that she is well cared for, as we live some distance away and she was struggling to cope in her previous assisted accommodation."

"Hampton Grove has a very nice and friendly environment. My mother-in-law seems quite happy and contented living here. The carers, the receptionists and especially the manager are so kind, thoughtful and helpful, from her very first day. We as a family along with my mother-in-law get on with them all very well. If ever a problem occurs it's dealt with quite quickly."

"A very friendly place with a home-from-home feel, the staff from the manager down, all seem to care equally. They have made mum feel at home from day one. The food is of an excellent standard, very tasty( mum's words) and a varied choice."

"Mum came into Avery House in November on respite in 2017, loved it so much and found a new lease of life so, with the help of a social worker, mum came in permanently. The staff are so supportive and make mum feel important and she loves to join in most activities and staff say she thoroughly enjoys it and always has a smile. The home is so clean and fresh and the meals are lovely and very appetising. Having had a personal problem, they have supported me through and through."

"My mum has lived at Avery House for only a short time, however, when I first came to view the home, I knew as soon as I walked into reception. I wanted mum to spend her last days here. The staff are exceptional, kind, caring and treat all residents so kindly. The rooms are of 5-star hotel quality and the daily menus are amazing. Again, choice is wonderful. I cannot recommend Avery House enough. It will not only change my mum's life for the better. It is giving me total peace of mind that she is living in a safe and clean environment."

"I feel I need to explain to you what a fantastic team of staff you have on all levels. Very high standard of care, activities every day that involve all the residents, hairdressers and garden parties. Mum was at her happiest at Avery House and she spent five years there. We can honestly say she loved everyone. They were all kind, caring staff. Sadly Mum passed away. At Mum's funeral, one of the carers came along. Thank you from the bottom of our heart."

"Wonderful supportive staff. All needs are cared for promptly special thanks for the wonderful celebrations for Mother's 100th birthday, you really made up for us not being able to take Mother out (COVID-19). We met outside for 30 minutes to open cards and gifts plus a surprise cake!"

"Since my mother entered the care home in 2014 she has been well looked after by a caring and well-managed staff. She wasn’t the easiest person to look after but the staff were always on hand to deal with any issues that she had. After five and a half years of living there, we have to say that we were confident that she was happy and well treated. We visited every week she was there and got to know the staff really well. They were always very polite and professional and I will miss our weekly catch-ups. I would definitely recommend to anybody who was thinking of sending a relative to a care home to Avery House/Hampton Grove."

"On arriving at the home I am always greeted by a smiling friendly face on the reception desk. All the carers and staff are friendly and helpful no matter what time I arrive or contact the home. My husband settled quite quickly in the home, enjoys his meals and although a shy man, is joining in with the activities. He thinks he is at work so likes being given little tasks to do, which makes him feel valued."

"Mum has been a resident since June 2018 following a stay in hospital. She has had spells in hospital since but with the dedication and care of the staff, together with Mum's stoic attitude, she has pulled back from the brink. Everyone remains cheery and do their very best to keep the resident's spirits up,k especially in these particularly difficult times. Both Mum and I would like to thank everyone for all that they do."

"My Mum has been in Hampton Grove Care Home since the beginning of the year. I have to applaud all the staff for their professional attitude and compassion they show to my Mum. I have found all the staff extremely helpful and they endeavour to resolve any problems as fast as possible. My Mum has virtually no mobility and can be a stubborn so n so, however, all the staff are patient and ensure my Mum has the best possible standard of life. I highly recommend Hampton Grove Care Home."

"My mother has been a permanent resident here for just over two years, and as neither my sister nor myself live close by, I am totally dependent upon the carers and administration staff for all aspects of my mother’s wellbeing; a task that they perform admirably. They are all friendly, caring, efficient and good communicators, and I know they will always contact me if there is anything she needs. I am, therefore, confident that my mother is in capable hands."

"My mother came to Avery House on 30th November last year, originally for 2 weeks respite. She has been very happy at Avery and I have been more than happy with everything. The place itself and also the staff are excellent. The only reason I am moving my mother is because I live in Stamford, Lincolnshire and I'm finding the journey too much as I don't drive and have numerous illnesses myself. If it wasn't for this, my mum would be staying at Avery House."
