Activities at Hempton Field Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Carers Week at Hempton Field

We had a great time celebrating Carers Week at Hempton Field this week. Residents and staff made goodie bags for each of the carers and wrote messages on love hearts to say how much we appreciate all of our wonderful carers. Our chef joined in the celebrations too my making a 'Thank you' cake.

VE Day Celebrations

Our lovely residents at Hempton Field enjoyed a fantastic BBQ garden party in recognition of VE Day. We were very lucky with the weather; we enjoyed an abundance of British food and a fantastic 1940s sing along! George and Betty agreed it was brilliant, and thye are looking forward to doing this again very soon!

Keeping in Touch

Residents at Hempton Field enjoyed FaceTiming with loved ones!

A Bit of Gardening

Residents at Hempton Field have been enjoying the warmer weather and helping in the garden.

Smile Board

We had lovely letters sent to us from Mill Lane School, including a lovely poem.

Random Act of Kindness Day

On 17th of February we celebrated Random act of Kindness Day with our residents creating a special tree! We made a list of kind acts and added them to our tree, which we left up for the week, encouraging staff, residents and visitors to take one of them to act on to anyone at any time.

We had some fun ideas, for example “give someone a hug” “bake a cake”, “pay someone a compliment”, “write someone a poem” we enjoyed coming up with the ideas whilst enjoying a nice drink and nibbles! It has been a fun week with lots of laughs.
