Activities at Hilton Park Care Home

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

Jenelyn Szabo

Activity Coordinator

Hello, my name is Jenelyn and I am the head of activities here at Hilton Park.

Having started my Barchester journey as a carer back in 2019, I have gained good experience of working closely with our residents. After being a carer I then moved onto the Activities team and thoroughly enjoyed working as an Activities co-ordinator, which led to my promotion to Activity Lead.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing the smiles on our residents faces.

Happy Birthday Marions 104yrs young!

Today was an incredibly special day as we celebrated Marion's 104th birthday! To make it even more memorable, we invited the talented The Banjo Man to entertain our families and residents. Our activities team's daughters surprised us all with a wonderful dance performance, featuring the talented children Amy and Eljay, which brought smiles to everyone's faces. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the All Saints' CEVA Primary School, Newmarket children who made beautiful birthday cards for Marion, which she cherished dearly. To top it all off, our amazing Chef Anthony baked a homemade cake for Marion and her family to enjoy. We are grateful to our dedicated staff who worked tirelessly to make Marion's birthday a truly special occasion. Happy Birthday, Marion, and here's to many more happy years ahead.

Health and Wellbeing!

Within Barchester we have focused on giving our residents a healthy and positive lifestyle. We came together to listen to a short talk hosted by our Manager, Geanina. Our chef also participated by giving a short talk about nutrition. Our wellbeing champion, Anna, and the Activity team led some light exercise and singing, followed by the healthy, fresh snacks prepared by our very own chef, Anthony, for all to enjoy.

Music warmes the heart!!

Today we came together to enjoy a special performance by Debbie Lee.  Residents had lots of fun watching her perform classic hits from the past.

Thank you to Debbie for joining us today.

Lets get moving!

Exercise and Mobility

Here at Hilton Park we focus on the benefits of continued mobility in a fun way, apart from our unique garden walks  around our extensive grounds, we run regular exercise groups.

Gentle stretches put our gross motor skills at their peak while clenching rubber shapes and supporting mini weights tone our fine muscles in our hands and feet!

Some say a visit to our café at the end is the best bit but we know everyone has  earned the treats and a chat!

Valentines Crafts!!

Our hearts are bursting with love this Valentine's Day! Our residents enjoyed crafting beautiful crepe paper flowers and indulging in some sweet treats. The joy and warmth that fills our care home is a reminder that love truly knows no age. Happy Valentine's Day from Hilton Park  family to yours!
