Activities at Kingfisher Lodge Care Home

Our teams are trained to enrich the lives of residents through stimulating the mind, body and soul, and taking the time to learn about each person to ensure everyone receives support that adds enrichment to their life.

Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.

We offer a wide variety of life enrichment activities within our home, from minibus trips and group outings all the way to spending some one on one time with our residents. If you pop into the home, the chances is you’ll find me, so come say hello!

Pride Garden Party

Last week we celebrated Pride Week in style! Our residents, staff and friends of the home enjoyed the fabulous Memory Lane Entertainment whilst drinking cocktails, playing beer pong and even getting a few temporary tattoos to show off our Pride! We are so happy the weather held out and the day was able to be enjoyed by all.

Family and friends events are a key part of our activities programme at Kingfisher Lodge and we regularly welcome new ideas for these during the Relative's Meetings held monthly in the home.

Pint Anyone?

We enjoyed a trip out to the pub yesterday for drinks and socialising. Residents met up with friends and family for a relaxed afternoon before heading back to Kingfisher Lodge for dinner.

Regular outings to pubs, local landmarks, parks and activity centres are cornerstones of our life enrichment programme. To find out more about life at Kingfisher Lodge please call us today.
