Activities at Melbourn Springs Care Home

Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is a major focus of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat will always be welcomed.

Royston Virtual Balloon Race

Melbourn Springs has entered 2 balloons in the Virtual Royston Rotary Balloon Race and our balloons are now well on their way somewhere over Russia!

The eco-friendly balloon race over 7 days has been superbly organised by the Royston Rotary to raise desperately needed funds for Home-Start www.home-start.org.uk/home-start-royston-south-cambridgeshire

There are some fantastic prizes to be won including 1st Prize: £500, 2nd Prize: An Apple I-Pad and 3rd Prize: £100 worth of Book Tokens! It really does not matter if we do not win - we are all just so pleased to be able to support such a fantastic cause.

More information about the Balloon Race can be found at: www.roystonrotary.com/balloonrace.htm and we are all eagerly tracking our balloons to see if they make the leaderboard.
