Activities at Moors Manor Care Home
Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.
Jo Henderson
Hi, my name is Jo Henderson and I am the Activities Coordinator here at Moors Manor.
I am looking forward to bringing my creative side to the home as I was previously a florist and baker and look forward to us making lots of lovely treats for us all to enjoy.
When at home Jo is a mother to two wonderful daughters and also a pet mum to labrador Marley.
I cannot wait to welcome our residents into their wonderful new home and help to bring smiles, joy and laughter to each day.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Moors Manor Care Home
Creature teachers
We had a lovely visit from Creature Teachers today, they brought a variety of animals in to see us, our favourite was Echo the Barn Owl.
Happy Birthday
We celebrated with our toddler group this week as one of the lovely girls turned 3.
We enjoyed singing Happy Birthday and hearing about their wonderful gifts and party!
Exercises with Love to Move
Lovely exercise class with Katie from Love to Move.

Helpful Hounds Visit
We had the lovely Peter come in with Raffi from Helpful Hounds Assistance Dogs come to visit the residents. Raffi is always welcome, we love seeing him here.
Local History Talk
We had the wonderful time listening to John Hawkins talking to us about what came before the home was here.
Flower Arranging
The lovely toddlers from our weekly parent and toddler group did some flower arranging and gifted their wonderful creations to the home
