Activities at Orchard House Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Easter Party

On Good Friday, Orchard House was open to all for the Easter Party. We had an Easter bonnet competition with the hats the residents made earlier in the week, and there were prizes for all. We then held an Easter-themed quiz, which got everyone interacting whilst they enjoyed refreshments and nibbles. This was followed by a raffle, which helped us raise £54 towards to residents' fund.

Easter Baking

On Friday 30th March, we enjoyed a nice morning baking Easter biscuits, which the residents said they had fun creating and even more fun eating! We made so many that we ended up sharing them around the units for everyone to enjoy.

Easter Bonnet Making

On Thursday 29th March, we enjoyed a fun afternoon making Easter bonnet hats for a competition we're hosting on 30th March.

Indoor Gardening

On Friday 23rd March, residents enjoyed an afternoon of indoor gardening. They put their gloves on ;to plant seeds they had picked themselves and then, with the support of staff, looked after their plants and watched them grow.
