Activities at Orchard House Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Orchard House Care Home
Baking for the Birds
We made bird seed cakes with residents on Memory Lane for the birds to enjoy.
iPad Session
We had an iPad session for the residents, which they appeared to really enjoy.
Balloon Fun
We had fun swatting balloons on Memory Lane - and the residents were laughing so much! There was a little bit of exercise mixed in with the activity as well, which was an added bonus.
Bingo
On the 29th July, we played bingo and lots of prizes were won, which residents really liked.
Hoopla
On 30th June, we played hoopla on Memory Lane; residents had lots of fun and enjoyed their time.
Wonderful Staff at Orchard House
Staff member, Dave 'The Boy' Corney, will soon be doing a tandem sky dive to raise funds for the IOW Air Ambulance service. Best of luck to him!
