Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Hopton Community Scarecrow Competition
Staff and residents at Ritson Lodge have all enjoyed taking part in the Hopton Community Scarecrow Competition. We sure had lots of fun and made lots of mess too!
Violet - our new resident and Fiona - her Care Assistant are now outside Ritson Lodge for the everyone to meet and greet them so do come along and say hello!
Happy Birthday Terry!
It was an absolute pleasure to celebrate Terrance's Birthday complete with a cool Beer and delicious Chocolate Cake of course! Happy Birthday Terrance from Siobhan and all of the team here at Ritson Lodge.
Halloween Fun
Did you know that the Halloween tradition originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain? People would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off Ghosts!
We learnt that today at Ritson Lodge and our residents also took a part in Halloween Word search and Quiz!
Smoothie Time
Fruits and Smoothies are a quick and easy way to get vital nutrients - they also contribute towards our 5 a day, boost our Vitamin C levels and are always a big hit with our residents here and Ritson Lodge!
Ritson Lodge are winners!
We are excited to announce that our residents here at Ritson Lodge are winners of the Barchester internal #BarchesterBouquets competition.
Following the tips and techniques learnt during an amazing virtual sensory session with the Wallace Collection, staff and residents had the opportunity to put their skills to a test, create beautiful artworks and enter the competition.
The theme of the competition was ‘Impossible Bouquet’ and all winners were judged and carefully selected by members of the Wallace Collection. The judges particularly liked that each flower in our home entry was painted individually and bright, autumnal colours were used.
Congratulations to all of our residents and this fantastic collective achievement!
