Activities at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Team Of The Year
Yesterday, Barchester held it's annual Care Awards to celebrate the fantastic individuals and teams that work so hard to ensure all our residents receive the very best care.
Ritson Lodge won the prestigious Team Of The Year award for Barchester's Central Division - meaning that they came out on top of the 75 homes in the division.
This week decided if we were to be the National Champions. Whilst sadly Ritson did not win the National Team Of The Year award we were very proud to have gotten so far and honoured to be in such distinguished company with the other divisional winners.
We celebrated by watching the award ceremony, dressing up in our evening wear, sipping some bubbly and enjoying the wonderful catering provided by the kitchen team.
Birthday Celebrations
We make sure that every resident gets to be a King or Queen for their birthday at Ritson Lodge.
This week we said a huge Happy Birthday to Betty who had a great day with a tea party, cake, balloons and music.
Classes And Clubs
At Ritson Lodge we believe that variety is the spice of life, so we aim to have a wide range of activities that allow residents to brush up on old skills, experience new things, and have lots of fun.
This week we have held a wine tasting masterclass, provided by Barchester Healthcare's Divisional Hospitality Manager, Christophe Noel, and we have also held our regular flower arranging club which gives residents the opportunity to develop new skills and decorate our beautiful home.
Macmillan Coffee Morning
Ritson Lodge had a wonderful Macmillan coffee morning today
The sun was shining and we had visits from our ambulance service, CCG, friends and family, Hopton Ladies and finally Nellie the car!
Len loved going for a spin, what a lovely treat.
Bank Holiday Fun
We made the most of the Bank Holiday at Ritson Lodge with a range of activities including a visit from our lovely PAT dog Prince. Residents also enjoyed Pimms and ice-creams as we made the most of the good weather and our beautiful gardens.
Gin Tasting And Cocktail Making
Gin tasting in our beautiful sun-drenched gardens with friends is a simply lovely way to spend a relaxing summer afternoon.
Our gin tasting and cocktail making afternoon was very popular and will certainly be repeated again soon.
