Activities at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Community Litter Pick
Residents at Ritson Lodge wanted to give back to their local community by taking part in a litter pick with the community on Gorleston Beach. The residents were picked up in a lovely limo provided by the Co-op and enjoyed an ice-cream after some litter picking. Everybody had a great time and it felt wonderful to give back to the community.
Fruit Tasting!
On these lovely summery days we like to offer our residents a chance to try all sorts of different fruits! These delicious fruits are full of juicy goodness and also help to reduce risk of dehydration.
Exercise Classes
At Ritson Lodge we offer a wide range of fun and engaging exercise classes for our residents and friends of the home. Here we have our movement to music class where residents can work on their strength and mobility - classes are suitable to all needs and can be seated or standing depending on preference! If you are interested in coming along to our exercise classes, please get in contact with us!
NCS Volunteers Visit Ritson Lodge
Residents at Ritson Lodge care home, in Hopton-on-Sea recently welcomed in volunteers from the national citizen service. The teens enjoyed playing games and completing artwork with residents at the home as well as working on the homes garden.
Visit to Pathways Care Farm
Throughout the month of July we visited Pathways Care Farm, where the residents were able to groom and stroke various different farm animals as well as learn about how lots of different crops grow. The farm also has a wonderful sensory area and is wheelchair friendly.
Fun in the Sun with the Toddler Group
This month's toddler group made the most of the lovely sunshine by sitting out on our balcony. Everybody enjoyed some fresh air and playing with the children. Smiles were seen all round!
