Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Activities and Events Partnerships
As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Ritson Lodge Care Home
Vintage Tea Party
This week we had a lovely vintage style tea party to invite all the friends and family in to Ritson Lodge to enjoy the company of our residents. Tea, sandwiches, cake and fruit punch were enjoyed by all!
Choir Practice
Our residents enjoy monthly choir practice where they are able to sing to their hearts content! We are lucky enough to have one of the friends of Ritson Lodge who plays the piano for us whilst we practice. Watch this space for a Christmas choir!!
Preparing Christmas Decorations
Residents at Ritson Lodge are getting ready for Christmas by creating Christmas trees and decorating them as ready to place around the home.
Baking Club
Residents at Ritson lodge love baking so we started our own baking club! We take votes each week on what everybody wants to bake - this week is scones. Everybody was able to enjoy these tasty treats.
Rock 'n Roll Day
Residents were thrilled when Elvis came to visit them at Ritson Lodge on our Rock n Roll party day. We had tasty treats and Elvis made sure that he spent time with every single resident in the home.
Street Party
We held a World War One Remembrance street party at Ritson Lodge. We welcomed stall holders locally to sell their goodies and we decorated the home with flags and all ate wonderful party food prepared by the chefs at our home. Residents and visitors were all entertained by a 1940's style singer and everybody was encouraged to join in!
