Activities at Ritson Lodge Care Home

Our home is always full of life, and we can thank our wonderful Activities Coordinators for this. Dedication to creating a unique and interesting activities programme is what sets us apart from other homes. We always take into consideration that some people would prefer to pursue their own interests, which is why our team strive to incorporative activities that cater to a wide range of tastes and hobbies. Our trips out are always fun and exciting as well, and residents are guaranteed to return with stories to tell their loved ones!

Life at Ritson Lodge Care Home

Games Day

We enjoyed a games day recently here at Ritson Lodge. We started off the day with a Frank Sinatra impersonator and, after lunch, we played lots of new and funny games. There were plenty of delicious cakes that residents got to indulge in as well.

Bingo Club

Bingo Club

Each week, residents and their loved ones come along our Bingo Club to try and win fantastic prizes, such as bubble baths, shower gels, perfumes, hand creams and lots of different snacks.

Pamper Day

Pamper Day

We hold a pamper afternoon in the salon every Tuesday. Maria Lawson joined us for our most recent session and gave everyone shoulder, head and foot massages. There was relaxing music playing in the background and we all felt spoilt rotten.

Animal Magic

Animal Magic

We were joined by lots of different animals again recently, but not the normal ones. We saw different types of creatures from all different countries – things that we'd never seen before. All the ladies were happy to hold them, but the men were not so keen.

We have learnt so much in the last few weeks; can you believe that leaf insects eat leaves?! Nope, residents can't either.

Natter Hatters

Natter Hatters

Our most recent knit & natter session was as successful as ever. We made lots of baby hats for the local hospital, and residents are always keen to make them for each other.

Music Club

Music Club

Our most recent music club was very busy. Residents and staff enjoyed singing along and playing musical instruments. Fruit mocktails with fancy straws were available and lots of family members joined us as well.
