Activities at Ross Court Care Home
Activities are the cornerstone of a wholesome home experience, and our Activities Coordinators are always putting their creative minds to the test by organising new and exciting social events for residents to partake in. Of course, we take into account the likes and dislikes of those we support, so if someone doesn’t feel like trying something new, there will always be something on offer to reflect their personal interests. For the people who may just prefer some peace and quiet instead, we also offer one-to-one time that can be enjoyed with a nice cup of coffee or just a simple chat – whatever they desire.
Read our brochure 'Life-enriching activities' for more information about life in our care homes.

Life at Ross Court Care Home
Special Visit at Ross Court
At Ross Court Care Home we had the pleasure of welcoming officers from West Mercia Police.
It was great to learn about the different roles within our local police force. The residents thoroughly enjoyed hearing about the various jobs officers undertake and the invaluable ways in which they support our community.
A big thank you to the officers from West Mercia Police for making this an educational and engaging afternoon for our lovely residents.
Celebrating Children in Need
This week at Ross Court, our dedicated staff and wonderful residents have been having a great time while creating awareness for such a brilliant cause, Children In Need!
We have been creating smiles, and laughter for a cause that holds a special place in many of our hearts.
From fun filled activities to heartfelt conversations, is heart warming to see all our staff and residents come together.
Again a big thank you to our lovely residents and brilliant team for joining in!
Craft Afternoon at Ross Court!
We had a great time getting our creative juices flowing to honour Remembrance Day.
Our activity was all about making poppy badges and displays, and it was a blast! We gathered in the lounge, shared stories, and crafted some beautiful poppy badges. There was laughter, chit-chat, and a lot of fun.
Thank you to all our residents for making these beautiful badges and joining in our craft afternoons.
Alex the Memory Man
At Ross Court we have the absolute pleasure of working with Alex the Memory Man.
Our wonderful residents are always thoroughly engaged and enjoy Alex and his morning of activities every time he visits. The smiles and laughter on everyone's faces always speak volumes! These moments of joy, connection, and learning are what we cherish most at Ross Court.
A Woodland Meditation Walk
Residents enjoyed a unique therapy session. A walk through the woodlands. A lovely lady called Nadine Carr came into Ross Court with some beautiful plants and did relaxing exercises to music, mainly concentrating on the breathing. Residents were told of the healing properties of nature can help with relaxation and mediation.
Meet The Team
Every Thursday we invite a member of staff to come and talk to the residents and tell them a little about themselves. This is a great thing to do and have great feedback from the residents, who ask them questions. We have had Karolina she's from the Czech Republic, told the residents about their Easter tradition of whipping the girls, and it still goes on today. Then Chris who has been at Ross Court for 30 years so she told us about the changes over the years, Lesley told us about her wedding day and how she had to go round the block a few times (she thought her husband to be had run off) the organist didn’t turn up so the congregation were running around the pubs in the town for an organist, they finally found one.
Then we had Natalia who is from Kyiv in the Ukraine, how she escaped the war and how bad it is there at the moment. Natalia is a trained solicitor, but didn’t like it, so she became a teacher of arts and history with young children , she is also an artist and a historian, she even started to build her own house , the war started and she fled with her children , and grandchild , Natalia had staff and residents in tears of her sad story.
