Activities at Tandridge Heights Care Home
Our qualified and dedicated activities staff plan and implement all activities within the home. We try our best to arrange activities that reflect our residents interests and capabilities as best as possible, and encourage them to participate in any way they can. We also encourage relatives to join with activities and events as often as they can. We try to keep our residents active and happy.
Our activities include trips to garden centres, pubs, the cinema or the local theatre. We have many fun games like carpet bowls, Play Your Cards Right or armchair exercises. There are many musical events, singalongs, garden parties and tea parties for everyone to enjoy as well!

I started at Tandridge Heights in 2020. Previous to this, I have been working as a carer sine 2010, which has helped me to understand the needs, wants and the individuality of all of our residents.
My main responsibility is provide a varied and engaging activities schedule every day for our residents; this helps to keep them involved in social and uplifting activities. We love to have parties to celebrate birthdays, national days and special occasions.

As part of our bespoke life-enrichment programmes, we host a number of live virtual events in the home on a regular basis through a number of partnerships with places of interest and world class performance companies
Life at Tandridge Heights Care Home
Pancake Day
Residents at Tandridge Heights celebrated Pancake Day by enjoying lots of delicious pancakes cooked by our home's chef, Jane. Residents chose various toppings, but the clear winner was good old lemon and sugar. Some residents even had a go at a pancake tossing competition.
JJ Fashions
Residents at Tandridge Heights welcomed Catherine and Keith from JJ Fashions in to the home for a shopping afternoon.
JJ Fashions specialises in fashion for the over 50’s, they set up there pop up shop for residents to browse and purchase the items that they liked. To make it extra special we had glasses of Prosecco and some lovely home baked cakes. This was a very popular and fun afternoon for residents and staff.
National Pizza Day
Residents at Tandridge Heights spent the morning creating their own delicious pizza’s in baking club. Residents chose from a selection of tasty toppings and cheeses. They then enjoyed the pizza’s as an afternoon snack with a nice glass of Italian wine. Saluti!
Chinese New Year
Residents at Tandridge Heights celebrates The Chinese New Year with a food tasting event, residents tried duck spring rolls, vegetable spring rolls, prawn toast, prawn crackers, dips and a selection of Asian beers. The home's amazing chefs also cooked beef in plum sauce for lunch and sweet and sour chicken with fried mixed vegetable noodles for supper.
Residents really enjoyed trying all the different tasty foods. They also found out about the Chinese traditions and how the New Year is celebrated.
World Kindness Day
To celebrate World Kindness Day, residents had fun making postcards and collages for their loved ones, choosing their personal favourite kindness quotes and pictures to create their art work.
Kindness has been shown to increase self-esteem, improve mood and reduce stress which is why it is important to show kindness whenever we can.
Resident celebrates milestone 101st birthday
One of our residents, Evelyn, has celebrated a milestone birthday, as she has just turned 101! Evelyn spent the day surrounded by family and friends, and she also had a beautiful homemade cake baked by our homes talented chef and enjoyed it alongside a lovely afternoon tea.
