Activities at Tixover House Care Home

Our activities team are great at building the activities programme around the likes and interests of the people we care for. Ensuring that our social events offer fun and adventure is part of the ethos of our home; it’s important that those we support can enjoy an active and social lifestyle. Of course, there will always be those who prefer peace and quiet, and in these instances, a cup of tea and a chat are always welcomed.

Caroline Geddes

Activities Coordinator

Hello, my name is Caroline and I joined the team at Tixover House in 2023.

I am passionate about creating person-centred activities which ultimately enrich our residents' lives.  My main aim is to bring happiness through the doorway daily; spreading smiles, laughter and love - I want to make a difference to the lives of those that we support.

Day trip to Birch Tree Cafe

A trip out with our lovely Margaret to the local Birch Tree cafè. This wonderful Community Café in Easton on the Hill, near Stamford is run by the T-21 Charity and partly staffed by young adults with Down's Syndrome who are so welcoming. The homemade cakes are delicious and the gardens a delight to behold!

We'll be visiting again very soon.

4th of July celebrations

We celebrated all things American on Independence Day. The Tixover House kitchen team served some delicious hotdogs and southern fried chicken. Resident David chose some great American tunes for us to enjoy.

Quick, catch the Postie!

We've been writing letters and cards to family and friends. Luckily the postbox is at the end our the drive at Tixover House and we were there in time to meet our Postie for the last collection of the day.
