Activities at Trinity Manor Care Home

Activities are an integral part of life at our care home. We want to ensure that the people we support have as much fun as possible during their time with us, so it’s important that our activities programme is created with the interests of residents in mind. Our skilled Activities Coordinators bring a certain uniqueness to the home that can’t be found anywhere else, and which is reflected in the activities they organise.

Life at Trinity Manor Care Home

Happy Valentine’s Day!

What better way to celebrate than with a lovely Valentine's concert performed by the amazing Decadettes!

Dressed to impress, this talented trio wowed us with their mastery of harmony, and were excellent at involving our residents in with an immersive show. Featuring a wide range of songs, including wartime to the 1960's, the whole room were keenly encouraged to sing along - which they absolutely did!

On a holiday which celebrates those close to us, the Decadettes managed to win all our hearts, creating an atmosphere of friendship and comradery at our wonderful home.

Our Wonderful Community

Whilst we have such a wonderful atmosphere here at the home, there is nothing we love more than welcoming members of the community to our home. Since the beginning we have been really amazed by what a supportive, communal and kind community our new-build home has entered.

We welcomed a couple of our friends from Sherborne Girls for a game of Scrabble and a cup of tea - it is wonderful to see how they have gotten to know each other and built an inspiring rapport between them and our residents.

We have been blessed to be able to forge these relationships with various members of our local community and hope these continue for years to come, whilst also creating new relationships along the way.

Thank you Sherborne for welcoming us so graciously in our first 3 years as a home!

71 Years And Counting

Celebrations aplenty here in the home for one special couple...

For residents Stanley and his lovely wife Doreen, there is much excitement today as they marked 71 years of marriage!

Recently, they both received a very special piece of mail, straight from Buckingham Palace and signed by our new King, Charles III and the Queen Consort, Camilla.

CONGRATULATIONS to you both from everyone here at Trinity Manor!

New Year Celebrations

Recently here at Trinity Manor it was party central…

Kicking off our New Year’s Eve celebrations, Memory Lane hosted a funky hat disco featuring Marjorie the Viking, Pauline the Cowgirl, David the Captain and Tommy Cooper tribute Elizabeth!

In the afternoon, we welcomed the ever spectacular Jan McNeil to headline our New Year’s Eve Countdown party. Including crowd favourites ‘Happy New Year’ by Abba and the classic ‘Hokey Pokey’, it was her rendition of ‘Auld Lang Syne’ to close out the show which reduced some of us to tears and will live long in the memory.

Thank you Jan and Happy New Year!

Trinity Manor Turns 3!

This past week we celebrated the 3rd anniversary of Trinity Manor...

Residents and staff gathered together in our ground floor lounge as we celebrated three amazing years of being open!

We were also celebrating with our Resident Ambassador, Dr Valerie, who was also marking 3 years to the day since she became the home's first resident; therefore it seemed only fitting that she said and few words, before we toasted to many more years to come!

The staff then thanked all the amazing residents, who make this house a home and who make it an amazing place to come to work - You are all wonderfull!!!

Smells Like Christmas...

Recently here at Trinity Manor residents spent an afternoon making some very Christmassy smelling pomanders...

So simple to do, just by sticking cloves into an orange, then tied with a lovely red ribbon, the residents are absolutely loving the very Christmassy scent.

These can also make great homemade gifts, which can be hung around the home or put inside an airing cupboard for a wonderfully festive scent in and around your laundry.

Why not have a go?
