Relative's experience

At Barchester we provide support and reassurance throughout the various stages of finding a care home and our customer care team are there to put your mind at ease. Families of our residents explain their care journeys and how our customer care team supported them throughout;

Family 1: “Following a visit to see my mum it was clear she needed some more support, I really didn’t know where to turn. A friend recommended Longueville Court to me as her dad had recently been to visit a friend here. On speaking with the Customer Care team my mind was put at ease. I spoke to a really helpful team member who asked me all about mum, her preferences and what support was needed and helped me make a booking to come and see the team at the home to have a look around. The team really helped me understand that I wasn’t alone in this process and there would always be someone around who could support us, sending me all of my appointment details”

Family 2: “When my mum passed away we could see that dad was becoming really lonely and missed having company. We received a leaflet through the door advertising an open day event at a home close to dad. I called, and the team member was great, taking details about dad and his preferences and reassuring me that the home would provide the company he so desperately needed. They really took their time to listen to me as I found it really hard talking at the passing of mum and how dad was becoming increasingly withdrawn, the empathy they showed me and the time allowing me to talk about how I was feeling about this was amazing”
