Bayleaf Care Home in Huntingdon, is a brand new purpose-built care home that will open its doors in summer 2025. The home is specifically designed to deliver first class residential and dementia care for older people in a homely, yet secure environment. Our experienced and dedicated team will be ready to deliver exceptional standards of compassionate care, which focuses on the individual needs of each resident.
Care will be focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person-centred approach. Meals will be freshly prepared on-site by trained chefs, who will offer a range of nutritious and tasty food, catering for special dietary requirements when needed.
The home will feature a wide range of facilities including a café with outdoor seating serving tea, coffee and delicious homemade cakes, dining rooms with garden access ideal for summer nights, a cinema to watch the classics and a relaxing spa bathroom located on each floor of the home. As with all Barchester homes, there will be a full and varied schedule of virtual and live activities each and every day which residents are welcome to get involved in as much or as little as they wish.
For those living with dementia, there will be a dedicated area called Memory Lane which will offer high quality care and thoughtful touches to help make life easier. For example features include a Magic Table – this is an interactive light projector that was originally developed in The Netherlands. It's a specialist piece of technology designed to support residents living with dementia. Additionally, our interior space, colours and bedrooms are all designed to help with difficulties associated with dementia.
