Badgeworth Court is a residential care home near Cheltenham. Set outside the hectic city environment, between Cheltenham and Gloucester, our care home provides residents with the calm and serenity they deserve. We received an 'Outstanding' rating in our last CQC inspection and we pride ourselves on delivering person-centred nursing care across the whole home, along with short-term respite care. This has been demonstrated time and again in testimonials & feedback from our families, as well through multiple nominations for various internal awards and national competitions over the years.
The home's specialist Memory Lane Community utilises a careful blend of skills and techniques developed by leading experts in the field of dementia care, incorporating person-centred design in its use of colour and cues to help individuals navigate through the home, whilst thoughtful interior design features, such us adapted crockery and tableware assists with reminiscence. Communities are broken up into separate units with a family feel so people can feel safe and comfortable. Care is focused on independence, dignity and choice, with a person-centred approach. Staffing levels reflect the needs of residents, and people living with dementia are offered a range of activities to help preserve life skills, support interactions and retain a sense of purpose and selfhood.
In 2015, we celebrated our 20th birthday and, as part of the festivities, we underwent an extensive refurbishment programme, which included a brand-new hair salon, an extension to our dedicated Memory Lane community, as well as café facilities for all visitors, and a beautiful and comfortable lodge. We provide person-centred care that will always reflect the needs of the individuals we currently support. We aim to give empathy and, most of all, a lifestyle that encourages choice. There is a hairdresser on site and a chiropodist who is available weekly, and we have an open door policy for residents and families. We are all happy to share the beautiful grounds with friends and families.

I joined the team in 2023 after working as the General Manager at one of our sister homes. I am passionate about supporting the elderly through life enrichment and the provision of individualised care.
I am a strong advocate for the provision of dignity in care at all stages of life. I believe we can all learn something new each day and should always strive for excellence in all we do; to keep improving and evolving.
