Forest Hill Care Home in Worksop

A real home-from-home, Forest Hill is one of Barchester's high quality care homes in the East Midlands. Opened in 1996, the home was specifically designed to deliver first class nursing care for older people. We also offer support for those living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia on our Memory Lane Community, which is our dementia nursing unit. Our 32-bedded Memory Lane Community is a prime example of dementia care at its very best.

Our purpose-built specialist unit, the Portland Suite, first opened its doors in May 2012. Our capable and experienced team work towards supporting choice, change and independence for younger adults living with mental health needs and associated challenges. Offering 21 en-suite rooms, furnished to an exceptional standard, our aim is to offer a therapeutic environment intended to support each resident on their own individual pathway to well-being.

Types of care

Here at Forest Hill, we provide person-centred, individualised care for those living with dementia in our Memory Lane community and for those with more complex needs and requirements in our Portland Suite. We receive compliments from relatives and external agencies about the way in which we care for the people that live with us. Health professionals often tell us that they have noticed an improvement in the person we're supporting since they have come to stay at Forest Hill, in terms of their functionality and mood.
