Activities at Four Hills Care Home

Our activity and lifestyle programme is arranged for all our residents to participate in and is updated regularly based on ideas from our residents group during our resident forum. Our Resident of the Day strategy ensures each person receives at least one day each month where the focus is all about them.

We have a monthly concert and to date this is appreciated and enjoyed by most residents. The Four Hills Taverns is open for business every Friday afternoon and is an area where residents and staff socialise, hold pub quizzes and partake in a little refreshment.

The team at Four Hills try hard to meet everyone's needs and encourage all residents and their families to join in the fun.

Creating posies with florist

We had a lovely time joining Sue and Nicole from Ferndown Florist for an intriguing flower arrangement workshop in celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful virtual demonstration and got inspired to create their own flower posies for our Jubilee displays.

Our home was specially decorated for the Jubilee festivities and we all had a great time!

Jubilee celebrations fit for a Queen!

We marked the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style with fantastic activities and royal parties.

In recognition of the special occasion, we decorated our home with bunting, beautiful flower displays and themed royal items, including flags and printed photos of the Queen through the years and iconic royal landmarks, like Windsor Castle.

During the Jubilee weekend, our residents enjoyed a variety of sensory sessions and fun-filled activities such as royal games and themed quizzes.

To make things even more interesting, we’ve hosted our very own Jubilee Tea Party with live entertainment where community members, families and friends were invited.

Everyone enjoyed delicious sweet and savoury treats, prepared by our talented chef and his team, along with tasty cocktails and mocktails. The event was a big success.

Our festivities were fantastic and everyone was thrilled to celebrate the longest serving British monarch in style.

Jubilee celebrations in full swing!

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in full swing at Four Hills.

Residents had a great afternoon, food, drink, our delicious ice-cream sundae’s and lots of singing were the order of the day.

We are looking forward to another party this weekend!

Baking Club at Four Hills

Residents at Four Hills enjoyed an afternoon at our baking club making some delicious treats!

It’s takes them back to baking with their children and grandkids, scones are always the resident first choice and we love nothing more than eating them after with a cuppa and a natter.

Chelsea Flower Show

To mark the Chelsea Flower show residents at Four Hills took part in some flower arranging.

We had a lovely time reminiscing about our favourite plants and sharing gardening tips, the ladies were extremely proud of their finished creations to brighten up their rooms.

Virtual event with Graham Whitlock

We had a lovely time joining Graham Whitlock for an exciting virtual event to discuss his book ‘The Crystal Palace Chronicles: Star of Nimrod’.

Our residents were thrilled to find out more about the book and the fictional character Joe, who went on a rollercoaster adventure travelling back in time to the heyday of Victorian Crystal Palace.

Everyone had lots of fun during the virtual talk, as Graham took them on a clever and hilarious adventure.

A great time was had by all.
