Highfield Care Home is situated close to the lovely market town of Tadcaster. The home is set in beautiful and tranquil open parkland, overlooking a lake and in close proximity to the historic Roman Catholic Church of Scarthingwell Park.

Residential Care

Our home provides excellent 24-hour residential care in a warm and friendly environment, as well as caring for those living with dementia. Our experienced and dedicated team are ready to deliver exceptional standards of compassionate care, which focusses on the individual needs of each resident.

Dementia Care

For those living with dementia, there is a dedicated Memory Lane area which offers high quality care and thoughtful touches to help make life easier. For example features include a Magic Table – this is an interactive light projector that was originally developed in The Netherlands. It's a specialist piece of technology designed to support residents living with dementia.

Our dedicated and highly qualified team delivers respectful and dignified care for your loved ones. Our 24-hour care is provided in a warm, welcoming environment, with delicious meals and daily activities, including a choice of therapeutic approaches. These help to stimulate our people’s minds, and empower them to approach their future in a positive way.

Hi, my name is Luke and I am General Manager here Highfield Care Home. Welcome to our website!

Thank you for taking the time to look further into what we have to offer to you or your loved one. Here is an opportunity to look at some of our staff team in the home, who all play a vital role in day-to-day life.

I started my career in the health sector straight from school as a Bank Care Assistant at a Barchester Home in Worksop, I completed my Health and Social Care studies at college during this time. I progressed my career in to more senior roles with different providers gaining invaluable knowledge and experience. In 2016, I was secured my first Home Manager position, and have successfully managed three different homes, improving their overall quality and performance.

In 2021 I became a Regional Director for a health care provider before returning to Barchester in October 2024 bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role, I believe Barchester they live by their own values, and provide the best standard of care to all our customers.

I look forward to welcoming you to our Home.
